For the note as of right now, I’m trying to do my best on Marvel to help give team exposure and level up people like Chrisis .

I was honestly surprised the first time I went to the Dojo about 3 months ago we had someone with that level of understanding of the game. The dude has been putting in work and to see him get 2nd to F.Champ really gets to me. I also know for a fact that Worf has gotten a leveled up a lot with the recent changes to his team. So, even though I might not be winning stuff right now, I’m going to do my best to get people like them better cause they have been putting in some serious work. I believe that should be a goal for everyone to do their best so you can help everyone else around you. Because honestly lets face it, we talked about the Dojo getting some recognition and I remember Bart saying a few months back the best way to do it is blow other groups ups.

Ever since my dedicated athletic days in high school a couple years back, I’ve always had this mindset if I found out I was not the absolute best player on the team my goal was to help my teammate who has been putting in work, to get better so their work does not go to waste.

-Edit

Haibing, I’ve watched numerous videos of those guys…and I honestly could not stand the Fastfood Lasagna one. Shit was nasty.

Seriously be confident. It will work. Not give a fuck and just go in. Ha.

Also everyone has a slump, I had a slump in cs for over 4 months. Shit isnt cool. I had a friend who had a slump for a year when we were playing Marvel 2

Does it look like I am in a slump!?
I am at the top of my form!!!
If you say otherwise THAT means your talking shit :frowning:

ahahaha, I am never happy with my performance, if I am then what is there to improve on?!

When I play Marvel or any other game. Im going to listen to nothing but Stevie Wonder. Hella in the groove.

yo, any room for ncr?

epic meal time is sooo metal. we should invite the meal guys to the dojo and eat some bacon concoction they make

yeah dkl, dmc4 is preety ass. nero has an arm and a wanky gun, and dante is dante. u play the game as nero fucking shit up, then dante comes in to replay neros levels to clean neros mess, then rewards nero by making him fight the last boss. but hey, its preety flashy

I KNOW RIGHT???

That said, I started Devil May Cry 3 last night and I like that the level design so far (currently stuck on mission 4 due to difficulty) is linear as fuck and hasn’t given me much of an opportunity to get lost; I like that.

With regards to gameplay, it’s pretty much Dante from DMC4, but there’s a few things right now that I’m a little iffy on:

-They don’t differentiate between the orbs you use for upgrading Dante and the orbs you use for purchasing items, so this is problematic given that the level of difficulty forces me to buy items in order to deal with the game… in particular, I’m playing “YELLOW”, which means that I have to use yellow orbs in order to restart from a checkpoint.

I suspect that I may have to noob it out in “GOLD” mode, but let’s see how far I can get without rage-quitting.

As is, I’m actually having to GRIND for orbs in levels I’ve already played just to get new abilities and be able to afford items; this isn’t my ideal scenario for difficulty (why can’t people do it like Godhand or Resident Evil 4?).

-I would’ve preferred being able to change styles on the fly like in DMC4 (I can only change them here at the beginning of the missions?); you could come up with awesome combos doing that shit… the only thing the d-pad is used for in this game is fondling around in order to find the correct menu

-With regards to graphics, I’m not totally into the art design: it’s just an abandoned city and Vergil’s tower thingy pops out of nowhere and the entire place feels empty… hopefully, there will be more variety in locations like in DMC4, but without the parts where I get lost and punch a hole in the wall

Things I like:

-I actually have to use my guns as an effective damage tool: you pretty much didn’t need them shits in DMC4 outside of the suitcase weapon given that you could mash sword until it works…

-Cutscenes, like DMC4’s, are flashy; even with the age of the graphics, the staging of the scenes is really good and can carry the game’s visuals just fine

-Trickster is actually a useful style now… but now I suspect that I’ll be stuck using it given that the normal dodge commands aren’t the most reliable and I kinda need to not take damage now

============

That said, watching dat E3 conference: Tomb Raider reboot looks cool, but likely because it looks like a complete Uncharted ripoff (which, honestly, was probably the only way to salvage that series, which was pretty ass to begin with if I’m remembering things correctly).

Mass Effect 3 voice commands look dumb; that’s all I need while playing a game.

EDIT:

Yeah…

Microsoft conference was ass.

Tomb Raider: Guardian of Light was gdlk. I’m not feeling what I’ve seen of the reboot so far (the trailer cinematics are amazing though).

DMC3 I never used any style other than Trickster.

This is what I hear, actually.

Also, should I save myself the trouble and switch to GOLD in DMC3?

@Tasty:
If you don’t think Zoning with Zero is godlike do this experiment. See how long it is until someone hits you if you do nothing but summon assists and do jump buster with occassional air dashes/command dashes to re-establish positioning. That tool is bloody stupid.

@DKL:
Style changes on the fly were nice in DMC4, but there end up being more than 4 styles in this game, no D-pad functionality.

:frowning: Also DMC4 you can only mash swords on the scrub difficulties, going up to DMD and the like is when you actually start the game since you don’t have BS hit stun loops for the enemies. When enemies devil trigger hit stun stops effecting them so that’s only an issue on easier stuff. XD

Just like in any RPG I advocate as minimal use of items as possible, I don’t think I used any in my first play through of the game since it’s better to get permanent upgrades than temporary ones. Having different orbs is to make it easy mode for us. XD

DMC3 is a game that advocates you not dying, thus the orbs for checkpoints.

@Taozen:
But you play 3S! All 3S players should use royal guard all day every day! :stuck_out_tongue:

I think God Hard Vanquish is one of the only games I enjoyed on ultra-difficulty; they toss so much bullshit at you that it’s obnoxious, but the game was fun enough to warrant being played on that level of difficulty (and the only source of you proceeding is whatever weapon you have on yourself; no items, no upgrades, etc).

Can’t say this about a lot of games; at a certain point, I just wanted Devil May Cry 4 to just end due to boredom.

Not sure about 3 yet, but we’ll see, but I actually did put in the grinding.

Assuming the Nintendo eShop or whatever doesn’t catch my attention, I should play DMC3 tonight.

YO, they’re coming out with a new Deadliest Warrior; we should get on that.

We all knew this was going to happen sooner or later

For Henry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnmyplNSt48

For Unseen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8ZnxrlJBAU and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kj4_Jn6HMBw

For the cheap arse mofos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t19Cvckujcw

@Zaku: Those jiggle physics look even sillier than DoAs. XD

Yo, is this that boobs game or something that I heard about?

What does this game actually play like?

THAT SAID, Modern Warfare 3 looks like the same game…

@Zaku, I’m in.

@Chrisis I’ll play that game if I can main Petshop and still lose haha.

No, what the fuck, they just uploaded the new The World God Only Knows episode, but I have to go to work…

God damn it: real life is a terrible game; I have to roam around for 40 minutes before I get to the mission objective.

EDIT:

Also, I want to play as Petshop.

GGs everyone last session, I really need to jump on that KOF2k2 UM why is it not on PSN SNK? =/

Changing styles while on the go was fun in DMC4 but I always thought only one style was needed and complained a bit when every move was weakened, understood entirely why though. Although there were quite a few styles to choose from in DMC3 each one was still pretty strong and stood well on its own. Personally I didn’t like playing as Nero in 4 because the glowy hand would be a crap ton of free damage and over the top fight sequences taking away from the satisfaction of beating a boss imho. The rev on the fly for Nero’s sword was pretty cool though.

Lastly Royalguard ftw

&
SwordMaster ftw

Boobs in 3D, that’s probably all you need to know…

I think it’ll be pretty hard for it to get a release out of japan. From what I saw in the trailer, it’s a beat-em-up game with some visual novel elements.

yo, zaku. a game with boobs and swords? sounds sexy metal, but it looks like fanimu, which is not that metal. unless were talking about gurren laggan, now thats METAL!!!
