Hey guys, I also posted on dustloop in the six post topic and was told to go here.
I live in Shadyside, senior at Pitt, yadda yadda.
I play BB:CS somewhat okay, been playing it since BB:CT. I used to main Noel, now I main Stubaki with some Hazama/Hakumen on the side. I also like MB but most of my experience comes from playing Act Cadenza for PS2. I have GG, never got decent at it all but I know some basics.
Don’t think I’ll be able to make it today, have class until 8ish on Wednesdays. I could make it on Friday though. I need practice against a live human badly, damn PS2 RPGs kill muscle memory.
hey guys i hope to be showing up tonight if i dont get reamed at by my manager for calling off. Just wanted to know how many people normally show up and if you wanted me to bring my DC. I have no TV i can bring but i will gladly bring the system, games, and controllers.
I feel guilty asking this here, but I really need it. .
Anyone know any places that are hiring afternoon/night shift?

If you aren’t afraid of work you could try applying at the Gran Concourse as a busser, that is what i do. late hours and hard work, not much fun and doesn’t pay too great but hey, its a job. try to apply there. oh and I called off tonight so ill be there. Yay for telling lies to my manager!
I want slushies! There will be free chicken wings and fountain drinks at 9pm. If you need food before that, there is a cafeteria around the corner from where we play.
Stoopkid, you are free to bring your dc, but it will lag pretty poorly when we try and hook it up to the HD tv’s that are there. I’m not sure what we can do as an alternative. I know that Stefan has these games but I’m not sure what system we can play them. I’m also assuming you play on DC pad… which may be difficult for you to switch to playing on an arcade stick, 360 pad, or a ps pad. But we will try and figure something out.
Hey, I was just wondering how late these things go. Do the buses run that late downtown to get back to Oakland/Shadyside? And if so, are they safe? :wasted:
How large is the MB community would you say? I’m thinking of firing up my copy of AA and learning some Reese’s Pieces and H. V Akiha by Friday.
Yeah you’re right i am best with a DC pad, but i am trying to learn on an arcade stick. I dont have much time on one but im trying to play with them when i can to get better. Ill bring it down anyway just in case we want to play it. Im currently using it on an HD tv and the lag isnt too bad (as far as i can tell at least)
Kaddy idk how late these things go but buses run till somewhere from like 12-2 and they aren’t really that bad. If you would like, i do live in oakland and drive so if you meet me there and decide I’m an OK kid i can give you a ride to your place (given you’re in Oakland/Shadyside)

Oh, cool. I used to be pretty good in MB: AC with v.Akiha but I haven’t played for about 3 years. I guess I’ll relearn with everyone else.
If anyone wants me to bring anything, I have a PS3 with BB:CS, SSF4, SC4, T5:DR, MvC2 and BF as well as a PS2 with MB:AC, MB:AA, KOF 11 and GG:AC+. I could also bring a TV if needed, though its a pain to carry around.
I’m feeling really under the weather tonight, so I won’t be making it. On the plus side, I’ve used this sickness to get out of work tomorrow so I will be free for games.
PS- Jake I got the thunderstone expansion. I haven’t got to play it yet but it seems much more cut-throat than the original. It also seems to add a whole lot more luck than strategy. I guess that makes the game more exciting but I can already see people getting cheap wins because of the trap cards and such. Also I bet we may have to start playing with 5 heros for larger groups because I can see all of the heros being damn near dead by the time your half-way through the deck if you get a bad combo of monsters.
As for melty we have people interested I’m trying o tlearn h-aoko, butters play some sorta shiki (i dunno my melty still D:), bonkler plays f-miyako and there’s other people >_<
Cool beans. I think I’m going to roll with Reese’s Pieces (Riesbyfe) Full Moon version and H-V.Akiha (apparently she plays like MB:AC V.Akiha except with GASP specials that aren’t utterly useless).
