LOL, here’s another hilarious parody video that shows what Street Fighter would be like if they did it today:

Battlefield does a good job of that as far as the whole ranking up thing goes. MW3 seems to be taking steps to help with the teamwork aspect but they are fucking up in every other area. Basically Cod is a bunch of Lone Wolves trying to get as many kills as possible teammates and teamwork be damned. It is amazing to see an actual team of people working together on Cod though, they will absolutely lock down a map and dominate.

I can’t be the only one to play Descent.

  1. Descent 2
  2. Descent 1
  3. CS
  4. Half Life 2
  5. Half Life

I want to get into the Tribes Ascend Beta. ;_;

It was sync hell even on IPX lan. So yes, you are.

man i’m getting my ass kicked on quake live.

So I’m playing 1on1 against some guy in the UK. What I dont understand is, whenever we go toe to toe, standing directly infront of each other with the same weapons he always frags me first.

Because he is better stacked with items and/or aims better than you. Nothing strange about it.

i said when we have the exact same weapons and aiming isnt really involved… meh, give me a week and i’ll kick his ass.

Control of the armor pickups is usually a deciding factor in Q3A, and whether or not your opponent has armor is not something that is visible. If you are going toe to toe with your opponent and your weaponry/aim is equally matched, armor will often decide the outcome.

There arent a lot of fps games that truly require skill to play.
My favorite game is the free to play fps Alliance of Valiant Arms (unreal 3 engine)…
Balanced skill/teamplay requiring shooter. Its f2p, but the cash weapons dont ruin the skill aspect of the game…

Bohemia Interactive says “Hi”.

has anyone played the new Tribes game, is it as good as the original?

Man the nerds at Quakelive make a straightforward question so complex.

Can someone please tell me what negative/positive accelaration is?

I’ve never heard of positive acceleration but negative has do with how the game is interpreting your pointing device. Basically quickly flicking your mouse will move your crosshair at a shorter distance than had you moved it slowly.

is that a good or bad thing?

That’s a bad thing. It can usually be fixed but don’t confuse it with yaw speed limits.

I’m fast. When I flick shot my mouse goes crazy. Another example, Say I want to turn around really quickly… for some reason the crosshair freezes for a milisecond then moves in the opposite direction, wtf.

turn off mouse acceleration. your OS is trying to help you move your mouse. look for CPL mouse fix. don’t know if it works for Quake though.
