Do you mean to suggest that you have hosted locals before? As much as I hate to say it why don’t you host them? I’ve done it the past 6-7 weeks (not counting seasons beatings week) and its taxing. 'Sides I could give you BB practice more often that way and I’d have someone to fight. You do live in FW right?
If anything you should at least try to come out to locals at my house every once in a while. I know I’ve joked about hating your face but that doesn’t mean you aren’t invited :wonder:
Me? I’ve never hosted anything really, but I have a pretty small apartment and I’m not sure how that would go. Especially with the wife =)

Josh - i’m not trying to start crap but i can’t remember you ever beating my low tier (read: worst character in the game from the early tier charts i remember) Zafina. if noodle boy (whatever his name is) is 1st down in Bloomington and you are 2nd then by golly then that must make me 1.5! or perhaps i do not rank because i do not enter tourneys. that would make sense. regarding SF4 you better come to Mike’s on some Saturday and show us Abel power. we have a new player, Martell, who also plays Abel so maybe y’all can share strats or something.

I had thought you were not joking about hating me, especially when not wanting to be friends again on PSN. That being said, I do appreciate the invitation, and would gladly come.
With a broken car (AGAIN) and not a lot to do, I have done a lot of improving the past week, and with the help of high level friends, I had gone from rusty to better than what my prime used to be. Ill gladly take the position of 1.5 from you at Mike’s house, and if Noodlehead shows at CBB (his name is Josh too BTW…really fucked up) I will try to force that number on him. :bgrin:
As far as my Abel goes, putting my playful trash talk aside, I am gonna have a LOT of catching up to do.
Barzaad is hosting another $10 Tuesday tournament at Tilt in Indianapolis in four days (12/7). Would anyone else be interested in something like this? Ghetto Dave said they had around 20 participants last time and from the sounds of things everyone there had a real good time. I can rent and drive if necessary or of course I will accept a ride of one appeared.
Again it’s on this upcoming Tuesday in Circle Centre Mall. It starts at 6pm. Anyone else interested?
I would go if there was even one person to play BB casuals with lol. I like traveling >_>.

I randomly finished all of fei-long’s trials yesterday, and Bison’s, and like 3 of honda’s.
It was weird. But I have more respect for fei-longerers. Man, you gotta be QUICK on that c.LP -> Rekka, my god.
And bison’s c.mp->s.mk, the fucking lack of hitstun on that c.mp.
Also, next week is a bad week for me, last week before finals, so it’s a no-go for me.

Nap - i could be but it might not be worth it. my internet has been bad for 2 or 3 straight days now. i cannot stand laggy matches, input delay, or whatever combination of slowness can occur. i should be around tonight but not sure how long i’ll play if it’s continually a bad connection for me.

ggs Brett. I have to jet off to a holiday party for work, but it was fun playing some today. I was playing pretty dumb though =( I am terrible against Vega and Bison (all the B’s really… Blanka, Bison, and Balrog), and I couldn’t really pull off my links cuz it was a bit laggy so I mashed sweep way too much. Ah well, look forward to hopefully playing in person sometime soon. You were very good! I’m trying to get better and get more competitive since I’m relatively new to fighting games.
Scott - gg’s. it’s Brent btw. :wgrin: it was laggy as i figured. my internet is unpredictable anymore. goes through good streaks and bad streaks all the time and it’s in a bad streak right now. i thought you did great, personally, for being new to the scene overall especially. i bet when you get to meet our group you’ll get some good wins of several of the guys. from what i saw only today you are already better than a few of the folks i’m guessing. :karate:

Long story short, nothing worked out tonight cause I was sleeping and my phone was on vibrate when people were trying to call about locals. This is was bound to happen eventually though. Maybe if we had some sort of CLUB going we wouldn’t have to rely on one person to host.

Good news guys. I’m finally in the top 100 for best Abel players in N. America, based on BP. Just gotta get to top 50. :wgrin:
not only do we really need to get that IPFW club thing started but we also should give Spencer a break from bringing his PS3. if we play this next weekend is there someone else who can bring a PS3 along?

Riot55555: Welcome! I’m not sure if we’ve ever met but I’m Tim and I’m also an educator. I teach fifth grade. How’s your first year of teaching going? Also, what subject(s) do you teach? If you want to play some games, just add my gamertag.
I teach 7th grade Language Arts, and it’s going pretty well. I have three different LA classes (one is normal LA, one is a nonfiction/21st century skills English elective spinoff class, and the other is a remedial class), so it’s a bit hard to plan for everything and come up with good stuff every day. It’s a lot of work, but that’s to be expected I guess. Already waiting for Summer =)
