If you focus crumple off the overhead it allows for a standing combo if that’s what you’re looking for.
That’s true a caveat is that a crumple off of a crouching opponent is different from a crumple off of a standing opponent (they fall faster or rather start falling from a lower height). So the combos can be a bit more difficult, practically they’re the same. You can FADC the focus attack and do self charging combos (e.g. (1)cr.mk, cr/st.lp, cr.mp (2)cr.lp, cl.hk, cr.mp (3)cr.mk, cl.mp, cr.lp) a lot of them are character specific, generally cr.lp, cl.hk, cr.mp is the most universal (I think it doesn’t work against Makoto).
You can probably do OH, cl.mp, cr.lp, cr.mp against some of the cast too.
No way to do it without spending meter then I take it?
To force stand with Overhead specifically without spending meter?
Sorry, I mean is there anyway to combo INTO a force standing normal after hitting with an overhead on a crouching opponent (without spending meter).
I totally forgot about this, yes. Hit a crouching opponent with overhead, then cl.mp, cr.lp, cr.mp xx ex.ru. That’s very character specific, you can make it more reliable with an FADC (overhead, FADC, cl.mp, cr.lp, cr.mp xx ex.ru). You can also hit some opponents with cr.mk, cl.mp st.lp xx ex.ru, It’s pretty character specific too and not worth the trouble IMO.
