If your a self-proclaimed noob then you’d be as less viable to help run it as an unknown.
Jus saying…:bluu:
Anyway yeah I’ll PM you guys and I wouldn’t mind running BBCS and VS if need be I’d bring my laptop to run brackets. Should i PM you or the thread OP?
Edit- Not trying to de-rail your guys’s schedule but real talk can you plz @ least make a poll and see if people would prefer super main tourney on Saturday instead?
Also if possible can we run BBCS/VS Top 4 on stream?
Does anyone know if the venue has some sort of service elevator or how wide the escalators are?I see that it is in a basement and was wondering how or if I will be able to get my astro city cabs downstairs?
Yeah, there’s direct vehicle access in the back of the building to the hall where Focus Fire is going down. PM MinnWild about setup times on friday dec 10
thanks max ,I sent him a pm yesterday but no response yet, sounds like you answered my main concern though. see everyone in dec. for the arcade ST,VS,and TS .
if everything goes as planned we’ll have 32+ setups dedicated to SSF4 so getting people on their way home Sunday evening should be no sweat at all. Assuming everyone is ready when called to fight :nunchuck:
A lot of things can be altered to accomidate community concerns at this point but shifting days would be a nightmare as our printed materials have begun circulating, our radio and TV ads are on the air and many people have signed up for the event based on the information presented.
For anyone who is interested in attending, but only able to attend on Saturday; there’s still lots happening on Saturday (officially 3s, T6 and SSF4 random char select [which should be a TON of fun]) and it sounds like some community stuff happening as well… So missing out on the main event Sunday wouldn’t be a smart move; but it wouldn’t be the end of the world either… Still get to play some great games(casual/MM stations) with some of the best in the country. Hell a chance to win some of the random drawing prizes (consoles, controllers etc) would be worth your visit.
And when you’re home on Sunday wishing you were still here you can check out the stream (in crispy HD [thanks livestream]) at Focus Fire :wgrin:
any way that blazblue could become an actually advertised event? I’d like to go to this, but mainly for blazblue, and it’d be kind of silly if there were only like 10 people for blazblue or something when the game could probably pull in plenty more. People just need to know about it.
I’d just like BBCS to be listed in the OP as at least a side event or something, so people who might be interested can immediately see that it’s going to be at the event. Obviously it’d be nice to see it streamed too, yeah.
I’ve put my vote in to adding BB to the advertising as a side tourney, and I think we can work out a community channel on the stream. We’re running 6 channels already, not including the possibility of a cable OnDemand broadcast
I’m going to ask a few friends about running a community stream, walking around the event with a camera, streaming whatever action is going down
I just ordered this Video Capture Board (RGB to NTSC Converter) so it is possible to stream /broadcast to spectators/record the arcade cab tourneys.
also can anyone bring and extra copy of VS and ST just for emergency use and a supergun as a back up.I would just like to cover all bases seeing as arcade cabs are old and a plans b(supergun) and c(emulators on a laptop) are good to have.
