Do these pads (specifically Horipad) all require the 100ohm resistors from the LT/RT signals the same way the OEM Xbox PCB does?
The first post says that the hori one does not require trigger inversion.
From what I can tell only the MS pad needs 100ohm resistors. The hori needs nothing and the rockcandy, mini and spectra need inversion.
The PDP MK X pad comes out today, supposed to have built in 360/XB1 toggling.
It appears that you have to manually switch between 360 and One. Surely it wouldnāt be too hard to rig a button combination or another switch to take care of thatā¦
I canāt help but feel like I jumped the gun on those PowerA Minis, but I guess I can use those as actual controllers when I finally make the plunge and get a One.
Newegg has/had the official wireless for $41. I jumped on that. Got tired of checking ebay for 20-35$ broken/as is controllers to take a chance.
At least with this I can desolder the analogs and other items and keep as spares.
Please delete.
Thatās how last-gen/current-gen compatibility works for both XBone and PS4.
Not necessarily true; the FC4 has a switch, but it will actually automatically detect which console itās plugged in to and switch accordingly. I would imagine the PS3/PS4 sticks from Hori would behave the same way.
The FC4 does not auto detect. The switch is there for a reason. You might have it in PS4 mode and noticed that it works on PS3 that way. This is because PS4 controllers work on PS3, but try using the home button. It wonāt work Because it is in PS4 mode and it doesnāt auto detect. Or keep it in PS3 mode and plug it into a PS4, you wonāt get anything there.
That would make sense, seeing as Iāve only hacked one into an HRAP 2 which doesnāt have a home button. I stand corrected.
hereās hoping the PDP MK X pad isnāt like the vs pad before it and can be used in dual mods.
I got a PDP fight padā¦ here is the pcbā¦ dont know if ts common ground or not
Next step would be to probe it with a multimeter.
I would venture yes. I only see 1 trace coming out of each face button, from the front/activator section. Except X, which I see on the back view. So the rest of the board might be 1 big ground. Same with the top triggers.
Also that dpad connector hanging off has 5, 1 for each dir and 1 looks like it says āNDā for GND i would suppose.
Whereād you get it from? I preordered both ver from gamestop and they donāt have them yet
Amazon sent me an email saying that both of mine shipped today.
local gamestopā¦ I just searched for pick up at store option and they had one availableā¦ Iām in Chicago area
was wondering if I could get some assistance with a problem I am having.
Im using the hori pad + imp v2 + ps360+ together
for the imp wiring instructions :
xbox360 = hori pad
ps3 = ps360+
hori pad wired and connected to screw terminals
ps360+ wired and connected to same screw terminal
problem: when selecting the hori pad, everything functions as it should. when I hold down home/guide and plug in usb cable to switch to ps360+, everything works except 3 buttons as they are constantly pressed. the buttons are RT,LT and select/view. I triple checked wiring and everything seems to be where it should. strange thing is, if in ps360+ mode and I take 4k wire from ps360+ and the LT wire and touch them together, the button registers and when I seperate the wire the button is not registered.
i used a multimeter and measured the +5v points on the imp for hori pad and ps360+ and they both show +5v. not sure where to go from here, any help would be great. I would post pics of my boards, but I do not have a decent camera (webcam) and the wiring is a mess.
thanks for the help
an update
hooked everything up to a dpdt switch and same result.
tried arcade stick on ps3 to make sure it is not my computer, ps360+ did not autodetect ps3 I had to force it. Also a few buttons worked for awhile then nothing registered.
ps360+ works fine when it is hooked up directly to the buttons.
