On Start/Home, just take your time and you’ll be fine.
Yeah ill try doing that on Monday when I get my order from lizard lick. Decided to go with these crimp butt things for the usb cord. Hate soldering!!!

Home looks pretty simple in comparison to start. I’m not exactly sure where I solder the start button too!

Do I need a back button? Or will B suffice? I was planning on doing just Start/Home.
I suggest getting the back button. Just start and Home will not do when you are doing some trials.
The only problem is I only have 8 buttons total. 6 button layout and 2 buttons uptop. B doesn’t work as a back button when you hit start?
so in the end i messed up a resister on the back and home button wont work. and for some reason light punch wont work either. every other button seems to be working flawlessly though. maybe next time.
anyone want an arcade stick? im giving up here.
Aww, don’t give up, if you messed up that PCB then just keep soldering to it to get your practice on it so your next attempt will be easy!

or try to expose the contact wire elsewere down the line and solder to that.
Don’t give up, a lot of us didn’t have a smooth beginning in soldering. Use that “mess” into a practice PCB for soldering/de-soldering, maybe it can still be salvaged. Consider it as EXP points in leveling up.
Keep going. I killed many PSX pads learning the soldering trade. Buy cheaper pads to build your confidence instead of making you poor.
Can you take some high res picture of your PCB? It is entirely possible that it is still fixable.
I can try. I got to find the cord for my camera in order to do so.
Stick with it! I screwed up my first PCB. If you screwed up the main contacts there are secondaries called Via holes. Harder but it is possible.
