I don’t like the way they make SF games so Capcom vs. Capcom or Marvel 4. Darkstalkers 4 wouldn’t be terrible either, but it sounds like they don’t think it would sell. Yet by 2018 all fighting games will probably end up being digital titles any ways.

I would be interested in seeing a F2P Darkstalkers 4.
Capcom has already said that they aren’t confident in the Darkstalkers IP. However, they want to experiment with a F2P model. Darkstalkers seems like the ideal choice: relevant, but not really the face of the genre from Capcom. Considering that the game is so heavily driven by its character designs, paying for characters would actually make sense, since the universe has a lot of room for additional characters. If the game sells well, Capcom will profit. If it does poorly, Capcom can easily cut their losses without hurting their core franchises.
I would hate to see the series go that direction, but that could easily be the only way Capcom would bring back Darkstalkers.

It isn’t going to be something most people only know about because one of the characters was in MvC2. It’ll probably be CvS3. Or SF5 late in the console generation.
Who knows and who cares. There’s more than just Capcom fighting games. Besides, their wheeling and dealing in the COD market. Kaiju Combat will be released before a new Capcom fighting game.
