wow what made you have such a shitty outlook on marvel movies? They’ve been pretty damn good since Iron Man.
Yeah, now FOX Marvel movies, understandable, most of them are trash now. In house productions almost always are pretty damn good. Iron Man 2 is the only REAL hiccup, but there are plenty of studios who’d love to have IM2 as their worst movie.
I honestly don’t know why Marvel can’t throw some Disney money at Fox and get all their franchises back In house.
For sure, people need to understand that Fox Studios and MARVEL Studios are two different things.

They’ve made four movies since Iron Man: Incredible Hulk, Punisher War Zone, Iron Man 2 and Origins. Hulk was alright (plus they filmed part of it at my school so maybe I’m giving it too much credit. I just liked seeing UC get trashed), War Zone was awful but hilarious so it gets a pass, Iron Man 2 sucked, and Origins was fucking terrible. The only reason Iron Man is considered “good” is because it wasn’t quit as garbage as everything else. That made cirtics and audiences alike say, “Well, at least it wasn’t Elektra.”

i can follow you with a few of them. Fantastic Four was fucked cuz they strayed too far with the source material, and made it too campy. Galactus the Cloud sealed the deal in the second movie, but it was dead to me the moment that Thing was shorter than Invisible Woman. The later X-men become too focused on Wolverine, but so are the comics lol. But the first was still a solid movie. Even the 2nd, to an extent. The third shit all over one of the greatest comic storylines ever. We were NOT ready for Phoenix. They should have saved that until after Avengers establishes the Marvel Universe (The Shi’arr, Skrull, and Kree, for instance). Hell, Fantastic Four was their chance to do that very thing! Daredevil, sure. I have theories on that one though. Mostly involving the shit ass Elektra, and Kevin Smith getting fucked over a little.
I GOTTA draw the line at Blade 1 and 2. Those movies were fucking amazing, and you should have to pee sitting down for life, for thinking otherwise. Was it as good as the comics? No. DAMN good movies though. Third was too much of a test for a Nightstalkers movie. Hell, just look at the alternate ending.
Punisher I liked. It’s hard to do though, because the studio’s want to cash in on that crowd that’s willing to pay out the ass for Spidey or Batman, but Punisher is an R rated comic. The sequel was a step in the right direction, but the budget was absolutely minimal and the crew was horrible. And they still undersold Punisher.
First Hulk, everybody pretty much hated. Second one, I liked though. I also like Ed Norton as an actor, so maybe I’m biased. It did take too long for Abomination to kick in (I fucking HAAAAAATE movies that make you wait to find out who the villain is, or looks like, when you already fucking know).
Iron Man 2 was good, however the fact they had to really start setting up Avengers, fucked with it a little. I’m still pissed they cut the scene where he dives after his helmet out the plane. I liked that scene in the trailers. I have no idea how you didn’t like the first Iron Man though.
^X2 was clearly better than X1.
And because FOX controls those properties they can’t have cross overs with what Marvel is doing. So until Fox loses the X-Men and Spiderman we can’t have them crossing over.
But i ask again, why can’t Marvel just buy the movies from Fox. They got that Disney money so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Half the movie was him moping around feeling sorry for himself. Everyone’s got problems, he needed to put on his big girl panties and deal with it.
I was referring to movies based on Marvel characters. I couldn’t care less who was at the helm (Fox, Marvel, or otherwise) when they mangled some of my favourite superheroes. The end result was still awful movies.
Alright so we agree on pretty much everything except Iron Man 1 & 2 and the first two Blades (which, I’ll admit, are debatable).
You havent read a lot of Iron Man, have you. Man, his heart is constantly fucked, he’s alive cuz of a machine, and his whole life was turned upside down.
No debate. Blade 1 is one of the best VAMPIRE AND COMIC MOVIES. Amazing soundtrack, great cast, good action scenes. THAT was how you do an R rated Marvel movie!
The first Blade movie was better than the comic. Hell it redefined the character and made Wesley Snipes look cool. How many black men you know can use a catch phrase about ice skating and still be cool?
I can’t wait for this movie, along with Thor and the Green Lantern this year.
