Not Hector, Arden, BK, Amelia, Hallow Henry and Jacob, or Effie.
Rest of them might have gotten outclassed. Except maybe Sheena.
Ended up getting a Winter Tharja -Res, +def, Winter Chrom +atk, -res and a neutral Effie. Finally, an Effie without -atk. Did you guys get anyone good?

I have not tried it yet but I feel that is likely to be my lot when I start to pour out my meager orbs by which I grinded for.

I just got a 3ds and played through my First Fire Emblem (Awakening). I played Normal Classic and I gotta say i hit the reset button way more than id like to admit haha. I also screwed up by letting 3 female chars die early, which messed up the Marriage and children prospects for some of my best guys! I def enjoyed the hell out of it all the way though, putting about 50 hours in ( I did a lot of grinding, probably even overgrinded. ).
I was big enough fan of the gameplay to tolerate skipping through the cheesy story/interaction dialogues lol. I realize that its something im going to have to deal with throughout the series. Anyhow, I have Fates and Valentia on deckā¦ which should I play first?
Coming off Awakening, Fates might be the best bet, but only play one of the scenarios donāt try to do all of them before hoping into Valentia. In ways Shadows of Valentia is a throw back but also a better version of some of what they were trying to accomplish in Fates, so I recommend that as the last game you play or a breather between the different paths in Fates which can be grind due to how the game is balanced between versions.
Yeah Valentia does some things well but really shows why some other things werenāt kept later down the line too.

If you like the gameplay more than the stupid match maker shit and grinding then emulate or find a copy of the original GBA Fire Emblem with Lyn Eliwood and Hector. The only knock is a long tutorial because it was the first English released FE.
And then play FE4 with the GOAT lord.
