I would have been more optimistic if it wasn’t for this line.

Basically it is a middle finger to people like us.
I live in Illinois and have had back to back matches in ranked up until last Thursday (3rd Mar). Since then I noticed I was getting matches every 15minutes at the minimum.
The matches I would get finally after waiting a while would be against people who had flags from Europe, rarely US, or people who are in Gold and Ultra Silver (I am Ultra Bronze).
I’ve tried forwarding all ports (checked to see if they’re working properly, even monitored network resources to see if I’m missing any ports)
I’ve enabled DMZ as well to see if that would help
I’ve removed my router completely and tried a direct connection to the PC/PS4
I have tried to see if it was PC-related by queueing up on my PS4 as well
I’ve also tried tethering my phone’s Internet to see if it was possibly ISP related.
None of these attempts have alleviated my queue times. Meanwhile I am watching streams of players getting queues 1-2minutes after they’re out of the last game they were in. My friends who are in the East Coast get matches with no problems at all. I don’t know anyone in the Midwest to see if they’re having any troubles or not with matchmaking times.
Are any Midwest players having problems like mine or am I just incredibly unlucky? I spoke to Capcom support and they gave me the generic “working as intended” statement and asked me to forward ports which I had informed them that I had already done.

Maybe i spoke too soon when i said earlier that it usually takes 3 to 5 minutes.
I have been playing the game for about 80 minutes and i only played 10 games so far , ranked ones, with the connection set to 3-5. It’s takes too long and the loading times feel like its taking forever, the downtime is insane. A real kick in the nuts for people with limited time. Either people don’t play this game,or something is terribly wrong.
PS : the matchmaking needs tons of work as well.
Did anyone try to use VPN ? I have Tunnel Bear VPN , and for some reason I can’t connect on servers with it… I will test some more options and try to connect from different county and see how it goes…
They should allow you to set a toggle. If you want to play regional matchmaking it’s the default if that’s necessary for you to be lag free. Alternatively you could toggle an option for your matchmaking to not be regional, which would allow you to play against others from outside the region that also set the toggle and want to play outside their region.
Win/win.
hope they will fix this with new patch
are capcom gonna do something about them matchmaking? dont tell me i am the only one who need to wait 1 hour for a game. i never had his problem on usf4
Unlucky, I’d say. Also in the midwest and my wait times are usually 2-5 minutes… sometimes less on a good day.
amrraed i am pretty sure you are right. seems like i always end up playing the same people, today those have been online so i got a few casuals. please let this be temporary
