Oh, and I am wondering…how is Sephiroth compared to everyone else? Curious is all.
In the JPN version, he really blows… But in the ENG version, he REALLY got buffed. One of the better characters in the game, honestly.

I alt Sephiroth. He’s fun as hell. You have to stay in his sweet range and mix it up. His HP Attacks aren’t amazing or anything but they’re definitely good, if a little slow at times. Heaven’s Light is probably one of the better HP Attacks you can get. Hell’s Gate is stylish and great air to ground. Octaslash is simple and great. Don’t mess with Black Materia… It’s like Starfall without the psychological effect, without moving and without a guaranteed hit. Scintilla is eh… Might as well REALLY block and counter with another HP Attack. It’s no Delta Attack but it’s not really bad. You’re gonna be more open than most things for this.
The only real thing to watch for is your downtime. Sephiroth is too busy posing and trying to look cool to get moving after an attack. So if you whiff you’re going to be WIDE open. But keep in mind he does about the same amount of Brave damage as Squall, he’s just a bit slower and has better HP Attacks.
Also his EX Mode sucks. Probably the worst one in the game. The increase in Crit Rate helps but everyone has that.

Hold R + Square when he’s in EX Mode. Not as good as Golbez’s Black Fang or Ultimecia’s Time Stop, but it’s decent.
Oh yeah, make sure it’s Special Day if you want to level up easier.
Jecht’s Block doesn’t suck. It still blocks a huge ass amount of HP attacks, you just can’t use it to hit people.
wait… i was only able to get lvl 105 exdeath with my lvl 100 character. When I tried fighting him with my lvl 18 character i was only able to get him to lvl 100

Heartless Angel doesn’t have too much of a point. Not many people are gonna let you use it. You COULD use it to bait them into coming at you and making a mistake. Like Mateus’s Starfall. But it’s just not as useful on him.
it’s useful if only for the reason that you can sit on it while there’s a distant EX Core away; if they go for it, their Brave gets fucked, if they don’t, you control the core essentially.
Oh, didn’t think about that. It might see some use from me now. Even if that is kinda highly situational.
Now I know I can apply that to Starfall instead. Emperor needs so much more control over the field…
Exdeath trick with Exdeath is hard. Or maybe I’m just retarded.
EDIT: On GameFAQs they say “mainer” instead of player. It’s kinda cute in a sad way.
Is there a place to look up good spammable moves against a lvl 100, maximum, vicious EX Death? Like a list of the easiest ones that you don’t have to think about, such as Tornado for Terra or Cecil’s Dark Flame. I mean, I can beat Ex Death with Cross Slash for Cloud or Meteor for Onion Knight, but it’s not exactly easy and mindless. Thing is, I wanna max out levels for everyone but I don’t want to waste time using anyone but my main (Terra) or my alt (Cloud of Darkness).
Don’t spam moves. When your brave gets 9999 just run around and mid-range in front of him. Dodge if he Delta Attacks and punish with anything if he uses Almagest or Grand Cross. Nearly everything works. It’s best to use the fastest move possible, though.
Also remember that Delta Attack has deceptive range.
If you don’t want to waste time using anyone else then why bother getting everyone to 100 in the first place?
