That’s not true. I’d say Guile does better than Sagat. RC Rekkas are pretty hard to get around when using a poking char like Sagat.

You can keep Sangief away if you are using Sagat. If you can’t do that, I don’t know what you are thinking. If Sangief is in C-groove, I don’t see why you can’t beat Sangief easily. K-grooves, P-grooves, S-groove are different things. We are talking about C-groove San right here. Sagat kicks his ass big time.

RC Lariats cover alot of space vs Sagat. Why are you saying sangief? Its ZAN. If Sagat does nothing but poke he gets RC Lariated, if he jumps, the same. It’s only one sided vs scrub gief,
C’mon, you have fireballs with Sagat. You can keep ZANgief away. There is no excuse. If it was K-groove, that is another story. RC thing, that would hit if you are close, and you don’t wanna fight him close. That’s the whole point. Fighting him from a long distance. RC thing can be avoided. You can throw fireballs, either he blocks or jumps or rolls, there is your chance to pressure. You can always roll too, and if he does RC thing, you can also do RC uppercut. But the whole point is fighting him from far. Believe me, I have played against really good S-groove ZAngiefs, and C-groovers. Zangief can’t beat Sagat that easily. Zangief is too slow and predictable. His AA’s are good, there is no doubt, but the whole point is pressuring and keeping him away.

Why would you RC a DP? And RC Lariats have about the same range as all of Sagat’s pokes, and lets not forget Geifs own c.fp.
I don’t know. Just fight however you feel more comfortable. I personally play him against Sagat or Ken.
