The fact that ‘It’s Mahvel Baby’ went from describing how crazy and on your seat MvC2 could be to literally a term to use when you question how fucking stupid something is MvC3 pains me.
Justin Wong makes a comeback from near death in MvC2 = It’s Mahvel Baby!
Dive kicks that stagger and ground bounce / giving invincibility to a move that crosses up / barely nerfing someone only to give them unnecessary buffs / rush down characters who can keep away / zoning characters who can rush down in MvC3 = It’s Mahvel Baby!
You haven’t been reading enough threads if you haven’t seen the number of times the term vortex has been used improperly and to the point were people use it just because it sounds cool.
Solely the people who use it incorrecty not the term. The terms I mentiond have proper places. Not just “oh I see a mix up wait better yet vortex, he’s creating a vortex!”
And
“You only won that match because your character is so top tierrr”
Like I said I thought we were talking about overuse and misuse not “that word irritates me from hearing it too much”
I bite my tongue whenever I say it, but at this point its more work to dance around the term since everyone knows what it means.
I don’t understand how people can be annoyed by terms as simple as “mixup” or “option select.” They aren’t really slang or anything, just technical fighting game terms, and don’t lend themselves to being pointless filler like “FRAY”, “SALTY” etc.
BnBs in Mvc3 online
"You teh drop his BnB" followed by “This game is not for you”
“BnB this, BnB that” jeez about time we replace it with “Zabooga”
“You dropped Haggar’s Zabooga” now that’s manly.
Not to forget “Global Saturation” by Wesker playing friends.
Hey I don’t go around saying “Arooo Arooo” / “Woof Woof” when I play Ammy.
You guys have serious issues if you take issue with any lingo. Unless you have a better way to describe the “lingo” you’re annoyed by without sounding like a retard, you really have no ground to stand on.
Oh nice fuzzy guard setup
Oh nice instant overhead while forcing him to block low in the standing animation. due to the blockstun of the previous attack
