Fighting game lingo you find annoying

Calling Vega ‘Claw’, Balrog ‘Boxer’ etc.

Pretentious twattery of the highest order.

Well considering the names are different in Japan, that is why people use Claw, Boxer, and Dictator. “Vega” = Dictator, “Balrog” = Claw and “M. Bison” = Boxer in Japan. It isn’t pretentious to avoid confusion.

For all the inter Japanese-western communication that happens on SRK?

Yeah, its not like people could be using the terms they got used to by talking to Japanese players, or learning from people who talked to Japanese players or something. They must just be pretentious. What cocksuckers.

the FGC in general I have a strong hate towards…bunch of elitist wanabee “omg im so cool” bitches. Especially the idiots on XBL who which to follow suit

Aren’t you just an elitist kid…you sound so snooby on everything you say nice going kicking me out of your third rate lobbies on PSN

Well I know I have Daigo on speed-dial.

Yeah dude… referring to people or things using slang or nicknames is so pretentious. Especially when those names were thought of for clarity’s sake. Those fucking hipster douchebags.

It’s one of those things that had a purpose, but a lot of people do it to sound cool and OG, which is always obnoxious.

Although I guess that’s this whole thread in a nutshell. Copying the way somebody else talks doesn’t make you cool, it makes you a douche.

You know what would actually be pretentious? An American player only referring to the Japanese names for the sheer sake of doing so.

That would serve no real purpose.

Like insisting on using the JP names for the Vampire games. I’m so with you on that one… Also, Gouki!!!

Bulleta.

Because Baby Bonnie Hood is WAY TOO FUCKING LONG to say everytime.

I don’t even recognize B.B. Hood, like, when someone says that, I have to think to myself “who the fuck is he-OH, he means bulleta”.

Almost every American name in Vsav is about twice as long as it’s Japanese counterpart.

“Lord Raptor”/“Zabel”

Like, why would I want to say “Jon Taliban” or “Hisen-Ko” when I can just say “Gallon” or “Lei Lei”?

Playing the devil’s advocate, i know that there were some places were they had jp arcade machines, so for some players they were introduce to akuma as gouki first.
Also, Dark Stalkers 3 is an amalgamation of other Vampire games, is not Vampire Saviour in reality.

Anytime anyone uses the term “FGC” I want to kick them in the mouth.

fgc
FGC
FGC

Two words that piss me off the most…

“Godlike"
and
"Salt”

Where as one I can forgive because it didn’t originate from the fighting game community, the other just doesn’t make any fucking sense at all. Assholes and faggots are brandishing bags of potato chips and salt shakers, but couldn’t for the life of them tell anyone what the fuckin’ rellevance is, besides saying “you either get it or you don’t”. It’s no better than a meme that a bunch of dickheads all could sync their stupidity wavelengths to, and hopefully the term dies a horrible, torturous, tragic death. I would like to wish the same on the people who use the term, but I’m not trying to ask for too much, that would be uncivilized.

Salty isn’t just a FGC thing. Tons of people I know who don’t even play games use it.

because “Gallon” is massively gay.

And yet of course the only place I’ve ever heard it used was during fighting games and tournaments.

Don’t see how being gay is an insult.

Unless…You WEREN’T insulting him, maybe coming on?
