Yeah, I see you hiding there in the corner of that tweet, Eternal Champions. Thinking I wouldn’t notice.
I can’t believe I’m hitting the lab in Eternal Champions, of all games, in the year 2016. I’mma main Slash when this drops, he’s got some long-ass buttons.
pof should allow the world warrior hack and enable cheats to use Gill in 3S. Would be interesting to see what happens if Gill is playable along with Shin Gouki online
has anyone ever found a way to make fightcade work better on windows 8? Ive tried playing again and i dunno i guess i thought maybe something might change but its the same reason i quit playing years ago. Fightcade just lags and drops a shitload for me all the time. Anyone ever find out some kinda settings to fix this? I never really had that much of a problem wtih GGPO, and on vista before this. Thanks
Fightcade, much like GGPO, is running an emulator designed to work with Windows XP. So if you’re not on XP, you’re not on an optimal setup, and each subsequent OS type has made it more and more finnicky to work with this outdated emulator.
It’s a known problem by Pof, the developer, and he’s working on a way to be able to update the emulator for modern use on Windows 7 and up OS. It’s a fairly complex problem trying to update old technologies with modern software/hardware, and it not something as simple as a dropdown box.
so still no go bummer… Its been a couple years since ive tried to play, I was hoping maybe something had changed by now. Oh well ill try again another time thanks!
Hey guys, I just started playing SSF2X on Fightcade, and I’d like to clarify, when I’m playing against someone else online, the speed setting is configured to Japan Turbo 1, and this cannot be changed?
I can only change the speed setting when playing offline, and offline Japan Turbo 3 is closest to online Japan Turbo 1?
Pof is making good progress on the next major update to Fightcade, which updates the emulator to more current versions that run better on modern OSs (W7, W8, W10). Hopefully, when it drops, you guys will have improved connections.
It is set to Japan-1 because this, combined with added input delay of an outdated emulator and online lag, feels as close as it gets to Japanese-3 in an offline, arcade setting. It’s a way to closely emulate offline tournament experiences.
Great! I just wanted to make sure so I when I play offline, I’m playing at a similar speed. Thanks.
My first over 50 battles on FightCade. We were pretty much even. Both of our scores were close towards the end, etc:

Hi folks, I could do with some help!
Installed Fightcade and have been trying to play ST. I’m getting terrible input lag to the point that its pretty much unplayable, near half a second input delay…no use.
I’m using win7. nvidia gtx960.
Have tried a few of the suggestions I can find on google which did make a minor difference but still unplayable.
Any help, settings advice etc. appreciated.
ok… an update…
I neglected to mention above that I had bought a Madcatz Brawl Stick yesterday to use with Fightcade.
Today, I put the Brawl Stick into the PS3 and attempted to play SSF2THDR… and it was near unplayable… so I have been googling and it seems it is this shit joystick that is causing the input lag problem.
I’m going to look for another stick, is the TE Fightstick any better for input lag?
It’s a pretty shit stick, but here’s a list of a few sticks and their input lag results:

As far as Fightcade, not much you can do other than what’s commonly listed on Google, “disable aero, change settings, play on a stable, fast, wired internet connection, etc…”
HDR servers have performed extremely poorly in recent years compared to when it first launched, where the netcode was fairly solid.
how is FightCade down during Monday Night Fights…
Just posting here in case anyone still reads SRK (all three of you =) )
Where did all the ST people go? Facebook group?
Yup. Facebook, Twitter, Fightcade chat, Discord, LINE, it’s all over the place now.
I have to admit, it’s been probably 7 years since I was last here on these forums.
There was a thread in FGD discussing whether Discord (and presumably FB as well) have “hurt” the FGC more than they’ve helped. I can see pros and cons, but honestly I still fall firmly in believing forums along with wikis are the overall best medium and should be the primary source of information sharing. It really sucks that people don’t use forums anymore. Discord and Facebook are great at providing that instant feedback, but not great at preserving information for others to see. I occasionally read through the character threads here in the ST forum, and I can read discussion and gain insight, tips and tricks from well over a decade ago that’s still relevant today. Things like, how to do a standing headbutt with Boxer? Seriously - this stuff is not mentioned anywhere else on the English-language internet as far as I know.
Obscure tech and tricks that you won’t find anywhere else but deep on page 26 of some forum thread…
I agree that the forums are the ideal place to preserve information.
Unfortunately, with modern social media groups, private voice servers, and reddit being a thing, forums are going the way of the dinosaur. I’d rather just compress the information to the SRK ST Wiki since it already has a great foundation for presenting good information alongside its very helpful frame data and hitbox data info. But that also requires someone technically minded to ensure the data in there is accurate, relevant, and needs to be cross-checked by other admins. Don’t mind this sort of organization much anymore in the ST scene outside of a few dedicated players willing to share and post information.
