Back in town
Alright so I’ll be back in town this week. This time I should be staying for a while.
Gonna throw another tourney this weekend, but this time we get 6 days notice.
It’ll be on a saturday, and early. Signups will be at 1:00, tourney will start at 2:00. Reason it will be starting so soon is to allow for two tournies, a 2 on 2, and a 1v1 possibly ran concurrently. Also mm will be an option as well. If we start that early we could have mm’s as intermissions. Which would allow players to leave, get food, take a break, w/e.
G$ did an excellent job running the last one imo, so I’m asking him to run it again if possible. If not team top 8 will be running it.
I’d advise everyone to start getting a partner now. Because we are giving a little bit more notice this time around we expect everyone to be able to find a team mate. Therefore no player can be on more than one team (I was going to be on danny’s and dom’s teams last tourney). No player can be in a team by himself, (don’t hit me mike ) lol, and any team member that must leave can be replaced, but only after announcing that they must leave and playing a round. I.e. I say I gotta go, that means I have to play whoever I was to play next, and then I can go. This is to circumvent player swapping for matchups.
If the following players show up, I’d like to see them do some mm’s if they are down. Covered by sidebets, any bets between the players should be discussed by the players themselves. Sidebets will be covered on the spot therefore no need to discuss in this thread who you are backing nor for how much. Please respect this rule.

I think we need another name for mm’s as they are not allowed to be discussed in regards to evo, we’ll think of something. We’re actually not allowed to discuss them at FFA either per Evil Tim (Old Man Rivers to most of yall).
Anyone else wanting to have a featured MM PM me and I’ll try to make it happen. Also the time is tentative based on response. If thats too early I can move it back a few hours. Trust though, tourney’s typically have bigger tournouts if they are announced that early.
I’d also like to do a handicap match, similar to the daigo concept, involving neo vs. 5 other people.
It’d prolly be, clockw1se, Infrit, Khaos, mmds, Chaos though 1 of these people might be subbed out. I’ll back him on this but we’ll discuss the actual terms/ammount while we’re there.
Another thought came to mind also. Because on some matchups one side will get much more covering than another, I think I’ll play bookie for these. I’ll bring a note pad and pen, and hold the cash (yall should be able to trust me by now, and I won’t leave the arcade at all), the way it is done at evo for the bigger money matches. This is to prevent situations of people not paying with no intention of paying in the future (this has happened before), people not paying and trying to work out some sort of owing later, and completely one sided bets. I.e. If I got the tablet and only 5 people wanna bet on me, while 30 people wanna bet on khaos, it makes sense for us to add odds/handicaps to the bet to make it more enticing. I.e. giving khaos a certain number of wins or what have you.
This could be big, maybe I’ll make a separate thread for this. See if we can get Norcal out there if we move it back a week.
