Feature requests thread for Skullgirls

I’d much rather keep the charge so I can combo from it. All charge character players should be doing lows with downback+P/K by reflex anyway, and db,b+K doesn’t overlap :wink:

I agree, need all the missing regions, and Europe could possibly use a subdivision too.

I would add though that if you divide up regions, please add the option to somehow search in multiple regions at once. I don’t want the Capcom problem where my region is too small (eg. SF games -> country only, which is just 5 mil people), and there’s not enough players in the pool, so I have to search from all regions and manually filter out too distant opponents.

I’m assuming automatic filtering of bad connections is not possible with the way the console matchmaking is set up, otherwise that would be done already. That would of course be the best possible, that you could specify a filter eg. no pings over 100ms.

Chicken blocking was made bad on purpose.

I’m fine with it being bad to an extent, but if they’re miles above you, i don’t think it should activate the block animation when you have time to jump neutral and block while a move that’s active almost all the way down is coming to you.

dummy options on training mode, recording, tech options, all that jazz.

im hoping this is the first thing that gets patched in.

Yeah it’d really speed things up as well, everyone will just wait till the other picks their characters because they’re scared of being counterpicked even though the game hasn’t even been out for a week.

Not sure if this is a feature request, per say, because it’s more gameplay related - but could it be possible for us to set a tiger knee motion for aerial specials when selecting a custom assist?

I’m not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I would like to see resized health bars depending on the size of the team. Seeing the 2nd and 3rd members’ life bars unused while I play solo feels like wasted real estate.

Making the bars larger depending on the size of the team also emphasizes team ratio differences. One big bar for a 1-man versus three thin bars for a 3-man leaves a bit of an impact on the solo character’s ratio advantage.

I’d definitely like an “attack after block” thing that makes the character do a move right after they get out of block stun. Maybe even have a little input thing like with custom assists to select the move and the CPU preforms it on the first possible frame that its out of block (or even hit) stun.

Tekken has a setting where the dummy blocks after they exit hitstun as an indicator that the combo string has ended. Maybe they can implement something similar?

]Better visibility of opponents actions on the character select screen. I’m thinking something along the lines of how SF4 worked, where you could see every button press your opponent does. This shouldn’t be too hard considering GGPO syncs button presses, right?

]In tournament mode, it would be nice if the game would reset al controllers to default between sets. This will FORCE players into the habit of doing button setups, and get them OUT of the habit of doing button checks.

An ingame command list. Its not game breaking but it is agitating to have to look at my computer when I want to see a characters moves. ALSO maybe a charge partitioning tutorial for Parasoul (Is charge partitioning in this game??) And squiggly. Cause of dat ass (and cause she actually looks like a cool/fun character to use and play with)

Go look at the hitbox for that move. It drops way lower than her wheel. It’s like the sparks are the hitbox.

I know where the hitbox is, there’s no block sparks either. Also if I move behind of where she is and the hitbox won’t reach me at all, it will still stick me in blocking animation if I want to up back. Like if I cross under and try to jump away… nope… standing block animation, she reaches the ground and then it’s like derp. I stood there without jumping like i wanted.

Not block sparks. There’s a few sparks from the wheel grinding. As for chicken blocking, oh well. I’m fairly sure that it was made weak intentionally.

I know which sparks you meant, I was also talking about the animation when you’re blocking something, which half of the time it doesn’t happen and I get to stay still instead of jumping… Pretty annoying.

The option to disable “Exit the Game” in pause menus. After I spend time in training mode, I just head straight to online play by selecting the last option without thinking. There’s no need for it IMO because if I wanted to leave to the dashboard, I’d just press the guide/home button and quit.

Also, remove the “purchase full game” item on the main menu instead of just shading it out.

I believe it was mentioned that that’s an MS requirement.

oh my god this this THIS! i lose count of the amount of times ive done this due to instinctively going to the bottom of the menu and just hitting the button, since this is the way it is in every other game known to man since the dawn of time. just move it up a position on the menu would be good.
