Yamazaki’s Guillotine special: the headbutt version
Never thought I’d find a special that I liked more than Jugg’s Headcrush but there’s something about backhanding your opponent into temporary unconsciousness long enough to pick them up off the ground and deliver 8 hardcore headbutts to crack their face open that makes me smile. These ain’t no sissy headbutts either: we’re talking about cocking back on one leg like a pitcher about to throw a ball to build up momentum to swing your body in and smash the other person’s head. Even before Yamazaki picks you up he gets super pissed off for two seconds before going apeshit. When it comes to a true street brawler, you gotta have a headbutt in your lineup of fighting moves and Yamazaki delivers.

Mai’s HSDM, with any of the endings. You get ninja-like dashing, fanservice and fire. Enveryone wins. And also her jumping special from FFRB, the one where she leaps onto the opponent, grabs their neck, and then explodes. Good idea for the time, it’s one of her few moves where she actually acts like a ninja, and it’s got a cool shamisen sound effect to go with it.
The award for the move with the coolest name goes the Clark’s Super Arabian Burglary Backbreaker from KOF95.
I also like Angel’s HDSM where she does the People’s Elbow, if only for the sheer ridiculousness of it. I wish it were easier to pull off, though.
