I actually like Elena’s song and stage. It’s just not fun to fight on over and over and over. I like the Brazil stages. The one with the more colorful sky and the truck and shit is better but they’re both pretty cool. That track is bumpin with the samba beat.
But yeah, for Oro, he should have like his cave thing goin on, or just fight him in the jungle.

yes, Oro’s stage from 1 and 2 is my favorite. I love Necro’s stage too, but its creepy. poor Necro.
Elena’s stage in 2I was great as well. I really love all the stages and music from it all. Nothing bad or fitting out of character for any of them.
the only thing that would seem cool if they added separate stages /music for Twelve or Necro, Alex or Ken, Oro or Sean and Yun or Yang, but they may not do a good job. Q is cool since you still get his music and its kind of fitting he doesn’t have his own stage since he is supposed to be shrouded in mystery.

The 3s themes are nice background music, but they’re not all that iconic. What I mean is they end up being better songs as they don’t just concentrate on one riff, unlike most video game themes. However…

I did really like that 2nd Impact Gill theme that Metric posted though. The Street Fighter III might not have the same hype behind them, but they are good enough musically to listen to as music and not just a memorable theme.
Yeah they aren’t Iconic in the same way as SF2 games, but they’re (obviously) very iconic to 3s players. I like Ryu’s theme in SFII a lot. I really like a lot of Capcom music, honestly. Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, Code Veronica, Megaman (I’ve never played a Megaman game, but I love the music), MvC1, MvC2, even some of the MvC3 tracks are sick. 3s’s music adds so much life and uniqueness to the game. A lot of old Megaman music sounds like it very well could have been in SFII, but nothing’s really like that in comparison with 3s.
I don’t think they’re any less iconic. All of them have very obvious melodies that are pretty fucking sweet. 3S overall has better bass tracks than basically any other video game soundtrack. Bass and percussion tracks on 3s songs are the tits. i don’t know of many other games with like breakbeat shit, phat bass and all the other little riffs and stuff going on to spice things up.
I don’t see how jazzy nyc isn’t iconic. Or china vox. killing moon. spunky. etc.
I think 3s has by far the best soundtrack in a fighting game. 2I has a bunch of awesome tracks too.
Too hard to say since I love all the stages and music.
But top 3 might be chun stage (epitome of a 3s match. Chun vs yun on her stage. Also most interactive stage in the game) Ken stage (especially if it’s Ken Ken) and q theme (it’s such a special occasion when you hear it)
So many details and music I like from other stages but those 3 are in my top. Btw I think Elena stage is sick and I like the music. Definitely not a stage to play and hear the majority of time though.
Btw the bass in mak, necro/twelve, and chun stage goes hard. Should listen with volume and bass turned up on earphones.

Does anyone here actually like Ryu’s stage music? I think its the worst in the game. It just seems so uninspiring compared to Ryus theme from ST.
His ‘Good Fighter’ theme from 2nd Impact is really nice, but it doesnt go with the character at all.
I love it, it’s so serious and stolid. Most of the themes in the game have a jazz to it which is nice, but when you come to ryu’s place it reminds you he takes this shit serious, he’s not fucking around.
I like it, personally. Starts out calm at first, and then it starts pumping 2nd round. Feels very fitting for his character.
I REALLY hope 3s Online edition has random stages in online play.
I want to play on stages like Elena’s or Necro’s, which don’t come up very often arcade style by the 2nd player playing the character.
