Missed the point homie, he’s a low-life character that either gets a TOD or gets TOD’d, just like DPhoenix.
Also, DP requires more effort to get her in, since you start the match with Red Venom and not with DP - which if you look at it from THAT perspective, he’s even more derpy.
Not to mention, DP in UMC3 isn’t nearly as stupid MASH THE FUCK OUT OF L like she is in Vanilla. It’s not what their combos are like, as the games are different systems. It’s like saying a shoto is a shoto… Well, a TOD or be TOD’d character is a TOD or be TOD’d character.

Fuck it though… I hate all 3 of the games. MvC2 is the only legit Marvel.

GGPO mvc1 players suck they use the wrong turbo speed, They have no sense how to play any fighting game other than rush down and mash colossus or psylocke assist, Hell, when the game MvC:O first dropped Arturo was beating them easily with Red Venom.

because most Twelve players outside of Japan are pretty bad, it doesn’t take much matchup knowledge to beat them. but you’ll be miserable during the whole experience.

also I swear to god he has a faster throw than everyone else. you can’t convince me otherwise.

Twelve is the only character with a 1 frame throw. Makes shit GDLK online.

Also, I agree, Red Venom isn’t that bad. Back in the day on kaillera a complete scrub such as myself had a decent chance of killing Red Venom. Colossus+Random Super FTW.

i hate the aholes on ALL the marvels with douchey assist… wesker, haggar, doc doom, phoenix is a good character to me but i cant stand how people just run and shoot with her… also zangief in all games is stupid… mostly just the computer but i think its BS how he can grab so easily and how he’ll do it repeatedly

Favorites:

Link (Soul Calibur II, Super Smash Brothers). Link’s my favorite video game character of all time, so any fighter he appears in, I use him. Or in the case of Smash, the clone version (young/toon link) since I do like mobility.

Yunsung (Soul Calibur II). The only character in Soul Calibur II that I really liked using apart from Link.

Yang (AE). I just like his playstyle, he may be low in damage but it’s fun messing with the opponent with his large amount of reset options.

Lee Chaolan (Tekken). I just like his longer extended juggle combos with the mist-step cancels. And I just think he’s an awesome character overall.

Hated:

No one really. I don’t outright hate any characters in any fighting games. It’s only really the players that I hate sometimes. Mostly laggy online Honda and Blanka players.

Didn’t think I’d get that many dislikes. You know, it’s easy to like a character designed to be likable. I came into this thread expecting a ton of post about Ryu, Ken, Jin, Terry, Scorpion, K’ [random female character(s)], etc. being favorable while characters like Blanka, Choi, Kuma, Earthquake, Hugo [old, ugly, fat, stupid, etc.] get shafted on. It makes threads like these very bland and predictable, especially when no one gives a reason why they like/hate the character.

I like 3s Chun because playing footsies when you have the best buttons is pretty sweet. I also really appreciate how short she is. a lot of high moves whiff over her head! so she doesn’t have to care about certain options from several strong characters. watching Ken’s stand strong whiff over your head is neato.

I think one of the reasons I could never get into SF4 was how not like her 3s counterpart Chun is. I’m sure there’s plenty of other reasons of course. but playing 3s Chun and then hopping on over to AE 2012 Chun is pretty awful. I liked her in CVS2. seems like a soul sister to 3s Chun.
