Favorite/Most Hated Characters in Fighting Games

Well if your looking for an ass whooping sure. TKD has a long history of its practitioners and even its masters getting embarrassed by out of shape civilians with no martial arts training. It has a horrible reputation.

On topic though Law is a fucker.

Wannabe’s be wannabe’s… :coffee:

TKD in a organised fight with rules and shit. OK. But as an effect means of self defense if one were attacked on the street. Hell no. So if one is looking for the latter. Steer clear of TKD.

I take it hoody and soopercam practice BJJ and MT?

Dunno about the other two, but I did kickboxing a grappling until I was sidelined by my knee injury, and before that, shotokan plus some wing-chun and praying mantis on the side.

Greco Roman Wrestling, Western Boxing

I do think I’ll take up Muay Thai at some point though

Grew up in a foster home where all the boys took TKD

I kicked all their asses before I took up Wrestling or Boxing

Naw TKD is just booty beyond booty

you guys are on some next level shit assuming ya speaking truth. I just practice good’ol Boxing. Had thoughts of trying MMA but I don’t take fighting that seriously hence why I only learned boxing. For self defense boxing is good enough against the average person.

Sorry to dump on TKD. In a professional fight it’s cool and entertaining to see a experienced practioner in action. But in a real world situation where anything goes. From what I witnessed TKD is just not effective compared to other styles like Boxing, Muay Thai, Krav Maga etc

my brother practices boxing as an amateur since age 16, but his best shape was in his late-20s when he earned a bronze medal in a national tournament. Now at 33, he attends mainly for practice and to keep in shape. He’s of the very few keeping up at this age. Though due to work he missed almost a year and has to do things from the beginning. Not attending boxing for so long really messed his mood.
but he has the body of an athlete and if someone attacks him, he can sense his moves a mile away. Fortunately he didnt need to apply his skills outside the ring yet. When once few cops chased them after the end of a soccer match, he wisely chose to run!

I’m looking to chuck plasma and become a helicopter.

We are derailing the fuck out of this thread lol. Anywho getting back on Topic. After discussing it for a while with others. I’ve come to the realisation that I’m really not a fan of modern Felicia. Now classic Felicia ( Night Warriors and Darkstalkers 1 ) is awesome.

Felicia looks like anorexic in MvC3. While she was always designed to be a fan service character along with Morrigan, she is much more muscular in the Darkstalker series.

That’s because the artstyle for MvC3 makes everyone look like a supermodel that’s better off posing for a magazine cover than fighting. But what do you expect, they based it on Shinkiro after all.

I’m not fond of muscular women on FGs. When you actively want Capcom not to create bikini costumes for SF4 because of how burly the women look there is a problem.

About Felicia, rather than being a “toned vs skinny” issue it is more of 2D sprites that look naturally better and with awesome mannierisms on top of it vs the less inspired 3D models for a game whose graphics are already below average to begin with.

Javert. I’m not fond of overly muscular women either. And SF4 definitely over did it. Not just with the ladies but the men as well. Gouken in particular looks fucking absurd. However a lil muscle and tone can be attractive on a woman, and a fighter should have muscle. Not look so frail like the ladies do in UMVC3. Which I think was simply a design choice. Felineke mentioned in another thread that muscular characters were a popular style for anime in the 90’s. But now’n’days people prefer more slimer and pretty designs.

I want the characters to actually look like they could fight. For women, that means at least an athletic build showing some muscle. Something similar to what you see in female boxers or MMA fighters.

We need more women like Rila from Breakers, Angela from Power Instinct, Mary from Tobal and Vanessa from Virtua Fighter 4.

Damn right!

On topic, Fuck Seth. I never thought I would look back on Gill with such fond memories.
Also, Vega, Gill, Seth…what 4 letter name will a new SFV boss have and how am I just now noticing this trend?

Bison has 5 letters though. And he was the boss from the alpha series.

True, but he was first named Vega before they had to switch it to Bison.

Sagat was a boss in SF 1, and it has 5 letters.
