Favorite Marvel Character

LOL thanks.

Ah man this is tuff, Over the years I have grown to like characters much more and dislike some much more. I really could just name the X-crew and fill up alot of my spots. I really could go on for a page or so… But at the time heres my list.

Super Skrull- I really didnt know much of this character until his Run in annihilation, but after reading it he instantly become one of my favorites. Looking forward to more from this guy. He the FF all in one how can you not like that.

Dr Doom- Dude Has his own Country. Nuff said

Magneto- Scared by humans and because he’s different. Being a ā€œblack guyā€ I can ā€œunderstandā€ why he does are feels the way he does sometimes.

wolverine- Wolverine is a nut case, the more I learn about the guys past the more I dislike him, but at the same time the more I like him. He’s come along way. But ultimately he’s a killer. Dude really should be locked up… him and sabertooth ā€œwereā€ alot alike.

Captain America- Man of honor respect and fighting genius. Its hard not to like this guy. Some of the stuff he does is just amazing. To bad he’s no longer with us…(Please bring the real cap back)

Storm- Beauty, brains and skill. Not only is she crazy powerful, she is also skilled with the hand to hand. And has all kind of wisdom, to go along with that.

Cyclops- 4 years ago Cyke woulda been the farthest thing from being on this list. Let along being above storm and the others. But he has developed into a great character. His fighting skills, attitude and personality have really grown. he has developed as a character alot. The death of Jean and hooking up with emma has been great for cyke. (the latest issue of uncanny with him and emma was a cool look into cykes head)

Jean Grey (Phoenix)- I dunno what is was about Jean I liked so much. I think it was here clam caring attitude along with that crazy power she hosted as the phoenix. I think it was more so jean as or hosting the Phoenix that I really enjoy.

Thanos- If you think doom Is a beast then this guy is doom x100. His a villain but not really. Crazy smart, with the power of a titan.

Rogue- Despite falling off a bit over the years. She still holds a high spot on my list. Rogue altho emo at times holds it down when its comes to buisness. She’s tackled some of the best like wolverine storm and cyke. She also a good leader.

Emma- Coming out of No where to become one of my favorite characters ever. When I think emma I think what a person with professor X powers would really be like. She use’s her powers like ther suppose to be used. And in some of the coolest ways. She showed Iceman what he’s capable as well as cyke. She is ruthless with her powers.

Hulk- Brute strength, Raw power but still human. I always found it funny that he good acts where always deemed as some random act of rage. And how even though everyone would hate on him or try and stop him when they needed help the hulk helped. All this why a Depressed Banner is steal dealing with how he (hulk) has killed people and destroyed so much. Great character! Wolrd war hulk made me like him even more so…

Mystique One the deadliest villains, not because of raw power or mind control just because she is so cunning. She is a mastermind and manipulating people and situations. You never know when she is gonna pop up, but when she does is always a great event. (wolverine ā€œget mystiqueā€ is great btw pick it up!)

favorites would probably be

1.Iron Man- It’s Tony Stark! A master pimp, with a master mind, always thinking about the future, he’s an amazing tactician, he’s got money, and he’s humble as all hell, he’s not afraid to do anything to get a job done, even if its Cap in the way.(as you can see Civil War has really made me like Iron Man alot).

2.Blackbolt- Powerful as all hell, but he has to live a life of almost never using that power, plus he’s the leader of an entire race of people and never says a word, but people still follow him, granted Medusa can tell people what he’s thinking, but when she’s not around he can emit an aura(not literally) that will let a nigga know.

  1. Quicksilver- not only the son of Mags but he got married to Crystal, knocked her up, and stole terrigen crystals making him even better than he was before house of M.

4.Captain America/Winter Soldier- I really can’t decide between these 2, Steve is so wholesome,so Milk-and-Cookies, but one of the greatest tacticians in the Marvel Universe. The Winter Soldier is just badass.

5.Black Panther- I’m gonna just allow myself to indulge in some pro-black super hero choices.

6.Dr. Doom- Diplomatic Immunity, Diabolical Genius, a perfect villain in every way

7.Magneto- The White Mutant Malcom X, I’m not even gonna say anymore.

  1. Venom (Eddie Brock)- He’s a tough fight with or without the symbiote, he’s also the hero that many people scream for sometimes. When he has his villain on the ropes and you just want to say ā€œthank you, somebody killed that dudeā€.

  2. Nova- I loved him in Annihilation, he the last of his troop, but he had so much power and really went to work with it.

  3. Thanos- as someone else mentioned, he’s Doomx100, his schemes are ALWAYS intergalactic, not just when the oppurtunity arises.

deadpool
iron man
dr doom

Hmm interesting thing, though not a big surpise lol. I’m so used to these favorite threads by now it’s like second nature. As with most people this is in no particular order.

Thor: The Norse god of thunder has always held a soft spot for me, since at an early age I was introduced to fantasy writing and the Ahnuld Conan flicks. He brings an old school outlook and fierce pride to any team he’s on, and can lay down some vicious beatings. I think he kinda dwindled off during the 90’s but lately his solo comic has been incredible, and a great effort on Marvel’s part. The beating of Tony was just icing on the cake lol.

Hulk: As with another character soon to be on my list, I’ve been following Hulk for a looong time, through the good and the bad. Bruce Banner/Hulk is a great solo character since the inner struggle plays out so well, who here hasn’t ever wanted to let the beast out and just maim the fuck outta someone? This basically shows us that if we had a big green pissed off man inside of us the country would be fucked. Hulk suffered from repetition, but with the amazing Planet Hulk I can finally feel excited for new takes on him, it’s about damn time.

Baron Zemo: My main go-to villain, Zemo I don’t believe gets the respect he so rightfully deserves from the comic book community. No one ever seems to shit their paints when Zemo is going to do something new, but if Doom or Apoc get on a cover it’s Lol city. Maybe it was his dad’s fault, he was very one dimensional and used an adhesive gun for crying out loud. Though Helmut as well used paste powers, he at least got fucked up for his efforts. I think it was the pink outfit and fur that did him in, while I personally like the ski oufit of evil most people found it dumb. At least the new one is purple. When Zemo comes out of the Skrull Invasion leading an army of supervillains to kick skrull ass and save a crying Doom, you can all thank me.

Havok: Seems a mutant is usually on every list, but picking one can be very tough. I always had a soft spot for Havok since reading his work in the X-Factor days. I find his problems living in Scott’s shadow and ability to be manipulated by women very appealing. Lately though I think Havok has climb out of that shadow and become a cool hero in his own right, especially when taking it to little brother Gabriel ā€œVulkanā€. I expect to see even greater things from him down the road.

Captain America: Like I mentioned in the Hulk post, I’ve been following Cap since I was a little kid. I’ll be the first to admit I haven’t read a lot of his comic history due to lack of money and never finding a steady comic shop, but I’ve always kept tabs on him and felt safe knowing Marvel still had the one true hero still around. You never saw Cap suddenly go ape shit and shoot up a group of children, you never saw him go bad boy evil on us, and he also never turned into a vampire or anything to my knowledge. No, Captain America has always stayed true, and even in times when he had to give the name up, he still did what was right. That’s why I found it so fucked up Marvel killed the one good person in their universe, and I found it even more fucked up when fat ass middle age americans started suddenly wearing Captain America shirts and waving fucking flags when he died. You can ask any blow hard on the street right now who you know has never touched a comic in his life, and he would tell you he’s been a fan of Cap for years. Bullshit. But these days it’s hard to tell who’s a true fan or not, and my anger at Cap’s death and the fan base has subsided since then, though it’s still hovering around.

A_y_o, have you been reading Captain America?

Not that much lately, I’ve been trying to find TPB’s and stuff but all I ever find is Death of Captain America. I’ve gotten his classic stuff though, favorite so far is the murder mystery involving Count Blood or w.e

My most recent pieces of Captain America comics comes from New Avengers and some Civil War. I want to get the Bucky Cap comic though and start reading from there.

NO. Never gonna happen.

He turned into CapWolf.
 Happy President’s Day everybody!

No…that’s not true, that’s impossible!

Funny pic though lol. Also I do stand by my Doom crying like a bitch theory, not matter how unrealistic it is.

Yes keep doing that as 100% unrealistic as it is. Keep dreaming.

Me too. Logan is a mix up of too many personalities.

(Honorable Samurai , Crazy Berserker , and Cowboy loner.) I guess that’s why a lot of teenagers find him cool. I personally like the tragic hero side of him . The side of him that lets him become a responsible leader for the X-Force and occasionally the X-Men. (Chris Claremont era , where they fought the Adversary. )

Thanos by far.

I love his design, his story, powers, looks, etc. Heres a pic of my Thanos shrine.

Wow. That is impressive. It’s one thing to see a bookshelf full of Transformers, but an entire part of your room dedicated to Thanos? Amazing. Look at the size of that guy. It’s so damn big.

(…and that’s what she said.)

Thanos is a great character though. Easily one of, if not the best villains in Marvel.

Juggernaut. Hands down.

Thanks man, I’m pretty proud of my Thanos collection. This year they are making a life size Infinity Gauntlet complete with gems. Depending on how much I might snag one for my shelf. Here’s another shot of the big Bowen Thanos for size comparison.

You’re gonna make me put up my Adam Warlock stuff.

Please do, I’d like to see.

Sure thing. I have one last statue I’m waiting to come in from Ebay and then I’ll take pics.

My shop had that same Thanos statue, it wasn’t cheap @_@
