Sounds interesting. It seems this game can be really deep.
What he described is just high execution, I’m curious how you got ‘depth’ from that.
more hits = more depth
FUC got all the spacing and baiting and strategy of any other decent game. But oh man, when you get hit… I think you can have a weekend of FUC and the amount of actual playing would have only amount to an afternoon’s worth of ST. Like, FFFFFFFFFffffff don’t get hit. Don’t get hit by any hit. If you get hit, go take a piss and wash your hands. When you come back, the combo might be over.
I’d have to disagree there, but regardless I do have fun with the game.
At last…you finally like something…
Though I’m not fan of ridiculousness long combos. FUC kind of handles that properly with its burst and Holy grail system. Its a gamble but a gamble that can change the pace quickly.
If referring to console port I though.
this game is godlike…
dont attempt to play it if you’re weak as it will only destroy your soul
that said, i dont even have a ps2 anymore but I held on to this game. absolutely amazing.
Why do you disagree? I’m curious as to your reasons why you don’t think it possesses these things (baiting, spacing, etc)
Sometimes combos last so long, you forget all the stuff that happened outside of the combo. So when the next opportunity for two player action comes around, it all just seems random.
It would be nice to see this game be upgraded again for XBLA and PSN, that way more console owners would be able to get a hold of this game.
I miss Kirei.
online would just be full of people who ragequit before the combo is over and call you a *** for using “infinites”
Doesn’t that happen in pretty much every online fighter ever made?
FUC has some of the longest not-infinites I’ve ever seen. Shit, like everyone’s BnB probably lasts a minimum of half a minute.
i played a lil of fuc today after 4 or 5 months of not playin it and i got whipped by the cpu on normal difficulty.
it was like 5wins to 30wins.
The problem with F/UC is that u have to dedicate your whole playtime life for multiple, multiple months to not feel like your a total scrub when u play the damn thing.
Gravelneed…you wanna know how difficult to master and deep this bitch is?
here is a combo that is listed and that you have to do in mission mode.
this is Bayett’s second combo string…
6A,6B,6C,236C,R(reflect),6A,6B,6C,623A,A,B,C
AND THAT SHIT DEMANDS THE STRICTEST TIMING KNOWN TO MANKIND!
especially when it comes to the reflect button input.especially that crazy fucked up super strict timing of the reflect and AnY move that follows it.
oh and,…if you fail the combo’s timing, you drop the combo and leave yourself open for a second which is a second too long.
what i mean by that is that it’s not like AH or MB where you can essentially custom create your combo or compensate a dropped combo with a on-the-spot freestyle combo…it’s combos are more …
hmmm…"etched in stone"
well, maybe not etched in stone,…you can create a combo on the fly,or freestyle it, but the most damaging, strung out combos are dictated by a seen and unseen combo string list.
these “lists” of long strung combos are hellish to learn, and worse to be on the receiving end of.
Its a game that is more reasonable and managable with 2 peeps playin against each other that one vs cpu. because the cpu never drops a long string combo, and i mean NEVER.XP
the biggest complaint the japanese playrz had with d game is they called it "too hard!"
and i agree in the whole ‘memorize/master long pre-determined combo strings’ nonsense.
but aside from that, the game is still madly fun, fulfilling, challenging, etc…
the music is one of the best you’ll hear in a game…
the visuals are near ps3 levels…
i got my ps2 hooked up to my 32inch hdtv and F/UC looks crisp, detailed and clean compared to alot of other ps2 games.
BTW: if it wasn’t for the ability to be able to escape out of an opponen’ts insanely long combo string when you needed to with a BURST…the game woulda been way broken.
its worth the hassle of importing it Gravelneed.
get the best price one, its cheaper.
Anyone want FUC2 for next gen consoles?
Regarding mission mode personally, Archer’s 3rd combo was the hardest for me at the time. now it’s not that hard. Fuc2 would be cool, but i doubt it’ll happen.
i’m watching fate stay night the anime.
its pretty good.
alot better than expected.
i recommend it.
Been having some casual fun with the game recently and decided to upload some recent matches from Nico
http://www.youtube.com/user/CrimsonMoonM#grid/user/11EADBEA2EA96981
Didn’t think about actually adding the date of the recordings before i was already halfway through the planned uploads,
shouldn’t be that much of a problem i hope.
I didn’t really care much about this game back when,
so I’m wondering, why did it die out like it did?
I’d think people’d eat up anything with ‘Capcom’ slapped on it.
8ing rules!
i still have fun on this game from time to time on my psp. it definitely needs some xbl/psn support
