When Sakura does mid-air turn around pit does that make the pit cross up? Seems kind of interesting. She hella needs that as she has no good cross-ups. Unlike say Zero Lancer… haha.
That doesn’t make the pit cross up, the purpose of doing the super jump D turn around bs is to confuse the opponent to make him think which side you’re actually on. They have to guess which way to block or they’ll get owned up by the pit setup.
Cool, still useful just not as good as I had imagined. In the videos I’ve seen them use it its seemed fairly obvious which side she was going to be on. But I can see it being confusing in an actual match.
So, for those that can do it, how do you go about doing Saber’s loop combo? Got any tips? Any particular timing/motion/slide I should try?

Dude, you can save yourself a lot of time by just using PRACTICE MODE. Goto key config and set keyrecord and keyreplay (enemy or self), play it back and presto- all of your crossup questions and the like will be answered.

lol you guys were getting SO mad when I was using the 2-3 chant combos. I’ll be sure to learn more sophisticated combos next time around if I don’t get too lazy. :V
Speaking of which, does anyone know the notation for [media=youtube]Ckw4fZdpnvU&feature=related[/media] Archer combo (around ~0:20)? I’m interested in the end of the combo. How the hell did he shoot SO many arrows and get them to connect?
I like this game alot but it seems like you have to be pretty good at comboze before you are more of a threat than somebody just mashing. I’m pretty good at it, so I don’t mind, but it’s really turning my friends off. Are there any low-level tips I can give them to help them out other than lrn2combo?
Honestly, no.
This game is absurdly execution heavy, and if they’re not in it they’re pretty much going to get creamed and lose games on account of it.

Haha, nah I don’t mind the chant combos. And any combo you do is automatically more sophisticated than my scrubtacular combos anyway.

Yeah, seriously. Better learn one good combo is the advice I give to everyone I play. If not, well, then don’t play. It will just get frustrating eating big combos and you can’t really do anything yourself.
As per request from Chibi, I am writing out my bootlegged Saber Alter corner combo of destruction. It’s a variant of a a combo I saw in a match vid. Does about 6.3K damage.
ground string > 623a > tk j.236a > (land) 623a > j.b > j.236a > (land) 6c > 2369c > ! 623c > (land) 623c > activate > 236236b > 236236b > 236c > 623a > 4217b.
Starting with !, you can do other stuff with a little creativity like looping power geysers before you activate.

I don’t know any awesome combos. I’ve just been doing …blahblah>236A>LegRunes, B>C(1)>623B>dj.214C, land, 623B>dj.B>214B, land, and then from here, I try to do 22A, 623A>tk.46A>WaWa-loop. Or super, or something for the easy knockdown.
Or like, random block string into 236A>FistRunes+(hold A), B-6B-C-2C>(Release A) for the unblockable punch. You can skip a hit of 5C or 2C, to try to throw off any pushblocking. Then combo into 623A>LegRunes, 623B>dj.214C, land, 623B>dj.B>214B, land, blahblahetc…
I don’t understand the system at all. I’m thinking about picking up a non-console char, just so that I can copy combos from vids and start understanding this stuff.
Most of what I got with Bazett is outside combos, in the neutral game. Like her DashPunches, they feel like they leave you at, or near, even frames. Like, I’ve been always able to just backdash with no risk. Backdashing, by the way, when you have 100%, I don’t see a downside. You just backdash, and use the invul frames of your backdash to see what your opponent is doing. If they do nothing, then just cancel out of the backdash into a DashPunch and reset the situation. Or if it’s something that’ll beat the backdash, then cancel to her SurfSuper. Everything else, just 46X around/through it.
And if you ever see anyone jump, just do the OrbShoot super, and you get to run up and do a free combo.
46X goes through activations, also. And SurfSuper has full invul for the entire duration, it goes through Kirei’s PurpleSuper. OrbSets also have full invul, but not for the entire move. You can use OrbSets to force a whiff then get a free combo.
And now you all know my bag of tricks. I hope I don’t fight any of you people in tournament.
