You cancel a move with a tiger knee’d special move (special move with a jump).
Yeah they are, The game is insanely fun though.
its funny how the first combo in trial mode is braindead easy, 2nd is still pretty straight forward, then the third is like WALLS OF TEXT and using a bunch of really advanced combo techniques they don’t explain to you otherwise, like berserker having to jump cancel 2C, then cancel into a crouch (?!)

Basically the combo system has a lot of hidden tricks.
Using 82C 82C 82C in A+B+C mode is one of them, and Archer/Shiro actually use this in BNBs.
Tiger kneeing after jump cancellable moves to get ground specials.
Tiger kneeing specials to remove landing recovery after jumps.
2369[6] to do low to the ground air specials instead of 236[9] like you would do in any other game.
Other stuff the game doesn’t tell you about in any form include being able to turn around during superjumps (Press D).
There are also Kara throws.
I think you can do something like 5b > 2b > 5c > 646b(maybe its A instead) > activate > j.c > 5b > 2b > 5c > 646b > 236236b > BNB. I was considering learning Rider’s chain loops next as I don’t want to learn hard TK cancel combos. It’s a good thing Dark Saber doesn’t really need TK cancels either.
So wait, buktooth/Sp00ky. What exactly would you have to do to finish off assassin 3rd combo in mission mode??
I can’t seem to do Sakura’s air combo in the wiki. Launcher into j.a j.b. j.c j.b. The final j.b doesn’t come out unless I jump cancel it, but then I can’t jump cancel after the 214 a.
I haven’t seen his 3rd one yet since I haven’t tried his mission mode, and we have a bunch of guys here playing atm, maybe I’ll check it out tomorrow.
Something like 28C (I noticed that with Archer’s combo but with 228C, cancel changing between sword and bow). Try that out and let us know.
Someone tell someazndude that 623b combos into itself without a cancel when they’re up in the air and not just in the corner and to throw a key before super. It makes me sad to just straight up 623b > 236236b all the time :shake:
I also plan on one day challenging voomers and altergenesis for top Dark Saber

The quote is only true by the wall. Midscreen you have to do either key or short jump loops after 623a.
The first thrust kick is A as the B version knocks down. The combo is still hard in general because it’s pretty easy to do j.C really low off the ground so it doesn’t hit.
Whats up with Archer and UBW cancel combo? I’ve seen dudes use the UBW chant to cancel combos and such, but I can’t do it. As well as that fucked up Gilgamesh combo. Mreh, I know NO combos in this game, and this forum is the only place I can find people who play this game, so anyone mind helping me out with Gilgamesh?

its like 2A 2A B C 646B 623A …and then they connect a 646B (I think) after, and then rinse and repeat. Everything is straight forward until the 623A - 646B. 623A is JCable, so tried TK’ing it so the jump cancel will be installed (GG style), and also tried doing the 646B with 946 too but nothing worked. Maybe my execution isnt good enough though. Any takers?

So, I played about 150 Gilgamesh vs Dark Saber matches today. Gilgamesh absolutely owns this match for fucking FREE. Dark Saber has one of the worst sidesteps in the game and can’t even sidestep Gilgamesh projectiles. Meaning, when Gilgamesh is pulling projectile spam, you have to maneuver in a straight line. (and you don’t have a choice here) NOT FUCKING SAFE when he has chains and anti-air shenanigans to get you with. (Did I also mention DSaber runs fucking slow?) If you block the sword barrage you end up back at square one because it pushes you SOOO far back.
Your best bet is Dark Saber’s rush move 214C, because it covers a lot of ground and goes through some of Gil’s projectiles. Because of Dark Saber’s poor mobility, this is a total uphill battle. So, in this case, you better know your combos. Because when you do hit Gil, you better do big damage, because you sure as hell don’t know when you’ll get in again.
Haha, I’m in the same boat against like ANY projectile spamming character because Dark Sakura’s dash is pure ass. I mean, it’s really bad, and not worth using ever. It’s no wonder they use teleport to get around.
Her back dash / sidestep make her look she has downs syndrome though.
Berserker and Rin as well.
