I’m currently WC. I’d like for us as SRK to form up a team to take down those broccoli fucks. Our trademark look could be red hair and eyes in honor of Akuma. For new players to get better, they need to learn the uncommon knowledge which can be found here. http://titanstudios.com/blog/
I didn’t know you could launch bombs and shit with the catapult. I just though it was for you and a crew to pile up and get at the princess faster. This is something that should definitely be dedicated to two people. They could check the map and guard the princess if anyone gets near or just bomb the shit out of villagers if nothing is going on at the castle.
So when are we going to have some training sessions? I need to go on a few fact finding missions to find out such things as how much damage the initial blast of the fully charged fire spell does as well as how many hearts will burn out if your not put out by the ice mage or water. How much damage does the big bomb do and the duration of being a chicken. I could actually do the chicken thing myself, but there are a few other things I’d like to try out.
Solved my internet issues today. Got my static ip set, port for the ps3 forwarded, and dmz set up for the ps3. Hopefully, next time I won’t have as many issues. I’ll try and catch you guys again next week.
people need roles in order to beat organized teams at this point. i mentioned it in the chat but my biggest pet peeve is now taking over the central outpost at the beginning of the game only to see that someone has already grabbed our princess and is out of our castle already.
And when I stay back to guard the princess i get upset if noone goes for the outpost.
The duration of the freeze depends on the charge time. If they’re just spamming it, you can retain your charge and break out almost immediately. But if they’ve fully charged it you are frozen for a good amount of time so losing your charge to mash or wait it out is all you can do. I still need to test this, but when you are frozen you are immune to some damage types. However you are still vulnerable to Fire (Mage, enchanted sword/bow, [big]bombs?) and can be healed. Dark Priest’s Sap doesn’t stack with Ice, and I wonder about chicken potions vs frozen targets…
I’m sure someone on the roster would be more than happy to go to training mode with you. It’s actually me, but I’ll be gone for the weekend so I’d rather just come home to the results of your questions.
I guess this is a problem with pubs, but rushes are really easy to counter with just one person with a mic or the ability to look at the map. I agree with specific roles for every phase of the game, for start game in particular I think there are three groups that give your team a significant advantage:
[]C.O. Capture Team - Worker, Priest, Warrior, Mage
[]Defense Team - Mage, Ranger, Worker

Offense Team - Villager, Priest, Ranger, Warrior, Worker
The C.O. Capture Team is a formidable group capable of capturing and holding the outpost.
The Defense Team only needs a Ranger and Mage to be successful. Even a local Worker with a good ability to analyze enemy tactics from the map can quickly swap to the Ranger/Mage hats when they’re attacking, and go back and harvest wood or whatever in between waves. This group is really important for thwarting rush attempts and to stop bombs from getting anywhere near your doors.
The Offense Team, I like to consider this game’s version of Divide and Conquer. I had a game the other night with LuckyStar and the opposing team quickly built doors, stuffing our rush attempt on BF. So instead we opted to run around the enemy’s side of territory like chickens without heads and we kited about half a dozen+ guys on their team for a good minute or so. Needless to say our team got the C.O. first and went relatively uncontested thanks to our DaC tactics. Villagers are nice for this but lose to a Ranger on defense. The ideal group here is one that is capable of stalling and kiting a group of enemies for the longest amount of time. I think the triad of Warrior, Ranger, Priest is really powerful here. The Warrior tanks and tries to keep enemy’s occupied. The Priest keeps the shield blocker alive and the Ranger kills anyone trying to attack the Priest. Being able to effectively zone enemies is key for all three roles.
Hey Guys, I’ll be gone for the weekend so I before I leave, I thought I would wrap up the week with some details on the clan.
First of all, thanks to everyone that was able to play games in the first week. We achieved moderate success and had some really exciting Fat Princess. Without clan support from the game it is really on us to get each other playing. So please, if you are available on a scheduled night please put aside your fighter of choice for a couple of hours(it might sting, but wont kill you) and play with us!
Jackofarcades, I’ve added you to the roster as a Host. Thank you for joining and I’m looking forward to playing with you. To all Hosts, I’ll be PMing you in a few minutes to try and snatch a time out of you for next week.
WC players have been out of the loop without a Captain so I decided to make a secondary account to manage all WC players. I’ll be able to do administrative stuff like flood your inbox with clan updates and reminders, but with that spiffy new mail icon in the status bar you should be grateful for the spam! I still need at least one person from either team to step up as a Captain because even though I have two accounts, I can’t be on them at the same time to get players into the game. It will only take one person from either team that can make the same scheduled games as me to get both teams into a game, please keep that in mind. It’s not a very high responsibility, it only requires you to make a new account to add all players and to play in scheduled games. Check out next week’s schedule, and if some dates just work for you, consider it! WC Players, when I come home Monday I will be mass-PMing and inviting you all to the SRKFP Chats.
To everyone, have a great Labor Day weekend. See you next week.
I’m usually all about the central outpost at the beginning unless i see an opening in the other team and i think the rush will work, like there are other SRK people so i know it won’t be a solo rush, where i make the grab but get killed 2 seconds later.
Today i was starting to get annoyed with all of the people who have changed their characters green with afros in the last week when i looked at a user name and realized it was the actual broccoli crew this time.
Anyway central outpost went out the window and it became a crash course in princess defense. if someone with a mic doesn’t organize a defense you just get steamrolled. solo defense only works on certain maps.
I need to step my mage game up and figure out the rest of these shortcuts and jump spots
I just remembered about 30 seconds ago that you can mute players online. That would have made last night alot more enjoyable. did each of those guys super glue their R2 buttons down?
Yeah, mute is very nice. Unfortunately even though they’re muted they’re still taking up talking slots to prevent other players from actually saying something useful. Next time we’ll just boot players like that.
I updated the second post with some class-specific strategies. More to come…
Since the second post got updated with villager rush I guess I might as well add this.
There are two types of defensive startup games in fat princess one when your playing an aggressive team that will rush your princess at the start and one for games where that won’t happen.
when playing a normal game you can rush the central outpost or go for the princess but when playing an organized team of rushers there are certain things you want to watch out for on each board. When playing against organized rushers you have to take it on yourself to play defense because it is guaranteed that someone on your team will go after the other teams princess but its not guaranteed that someone will stay back and guard the prisoner especially in a game of random players.
Black ForestGet a worker hat and get the doors up AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. you can get the doors up before they get inside the castle if you don’t waste any time. Watch for workers trying to build the ladder or spring board once the doors block their rush. if you get stuck in line waiting for a worker hat get another hat and be prepared to kill whatever gets in the door.
**The Great Gorge
**The great gorge is strange because you may or may not have front doors on the castle depending on the people playing worker on your team, since most experienced workers will use the initial wood to build the bridge to the C.O. the best thing to do here is to guard the actual prisoner since the rush could come over the top or through the front door. check the map when they’re on their way because you have to watch out for villagers because they can take the princess up the back wall of the castle and if they do you’re screwed, especially if your bridge isn’t up because you won’t be able to follow.
**Hot Sauce
**2 words FIRE MAGE you can stay near the prisoner or run along the path behind the priest machine which is the shortcut into the castle and the way the rush will be coming from 99% of the time. charge your attack and burn anything that tries to come up that wall, especially useful since there is no water on that map.
**Deep Fried
**I haven’t seen any true gimmicks on deep fried but most rushers like to use the return route through the pipe between the two castles that shown on the Broccoli crew video. The problem with that route is if the lava is up and the pipe isn’t exposed you are a sitting duck. Guard the pipe warp long enough for the lava to go up and they probably won’t be alive by the time the lava goes back down
**Coco Cliffs Coco Cliffs is probably the least quick rush friendly map on the game. Taking the elevator requires you to run through the busiest section of the map and taking the top way into the castle requires you to build a bridge which can be slowed down even more if their teammates have used the wood on the doors already. Check your map when they are on the way and react accordingly. And as with any board if you ever check the map and see more people coming for the princess than you can handle turn on your mic and let other people know to get back to the prisoner BEFORE the other team grabs her. If a villager grabs your princess with three or four people helping him carry its probably already too late by the time the game makes the announcement.

Rocky RoadRushers on Rocky Road usually take the elevator on the side of the castle, however the elevator is blocked by a rock that has to be broken first. Leave your castle either out of the front door or by jumping over the side wall and guard that rock. (note you have to fight away from the rock because when you attack near the rock you can still break it by accident **Sugar Cove Guard the bottom path because that’s where they’ll be coming from. if the match starts and you’re the only person on the bottom and seven people on their team are rushing that bottom path you had better have a MIC turned on or that game is going to be over in about a minute. Unlike other boards the bottom of sugar cove is such a wide open rush that if they get her off the ship with 2 people helping you have no chance of catching up. So you need to stop them before they grab her.

Tropical Punch
Guard the side of the castle from workers and villagers and force anyone trying to get into the castle to break down the front door
