Just got back. Great.

It’s like they have Marvel Studios level of precision and consistency with the last 4 films.

Maybe its just me but I feel like there were nods to Rock’s GIjoe Retaliation

The tank used by Tej looked very similar to the one Roadblock(Rock) used in the final battle.
Hobb is also a single father of a girl.(GIJOE had 2 daughters)

The final battle also reminded me of Die Another Day wih the ice battle, but this was worlds better.

Cons:

I dont like Charlizes Dreads?

I think 5 is slighlty better, but 6/7/8 are all remarkably good.

It’s hard for me to rank this series.

I don’t remember anything from 5, except that it rebooted the Franchise and took it to a new level .

I think the argument can be made for 5 and 7 being the best ones …but I enjoyed the ending for 6…the series could have ended at 6 or 7.

8 definitely had me laughing and feeling good the most .

The first is still a favorite to me and I re watched it many times .

After my 3rd viewing yea this ff was/is a solid movie. Charlize was a decent heel str8 up.

I really wonder how they gonna do more shit come 9 and 10. Don’t think I’ll ever get tired of these movies.

We didn’t really talk about it but that opening car race I love family to but I might have told my cuz kick rocks if you think imma do all that lol.

Imo the worst one is the one that has them driving the cars through those mine shafts. Man that shit looked so fucking fake. One of the few times I’ve actually been taken out of a movie.

That one was number 4 and wasn’t very good except for the ending…2-4 were definitely more for Blu Ray (DVD at the time ) viewing instead of the theater. I didn’t even know 4 came out .

I’m probably going to re watch 5 .

And I’m assuming the Russians brought in that truck with the minigun themselves. The US wouldn’t let fucking UK do something like that let alone Russia.

I get the feeling the director actually wanted it to be the POTUS. It would have made much more sense and it really wasn’t necessary for the diplomat to be Russian. I bet they got a talking to from guys dressed like Agent Smith and changed their minds.[/details]

The F&F movie blu rays are $8 this week at Best Buy (1-7 individual releases. The 4k versions are $20)
Most should also have a coupon for movie money for FF8.

There is a boxset of all 7 movies on bluray for $50(I dont know if the special features/extras are different though)

They already had planned to go to 10 movies before he died. They weren’t going to put the brakes on a billion dollar franchise.

Re-watched Fast Five today…

This was the one that transitioned it into a big action movie and added the Rock. Brazil also gave it the global feel and the overall scale was pretty big. I read a few articles that ranked this one the best one.

Overall though, I enjoyed Furious 7 and Fate of the Furious (the new one) better.

I’m going to re-watch Furious 6 tomorrow to see how it stacks up.

Right now my order is FF7 = FF1 >FF6>FF8>FF5>FF4 for me.
