When I saw the original tweet before I posted it on GAF, I couldn’t believe my eyes. But I’m very glad to see that Kojima’s little bit of teasing from back around E3 turned out to be true and BR is getting the chance at a revival it deserves.
To me, what interests me the most is that 8ing has had quite a bit of time to refine their fighting game making skills since they last made a BR game. If Konami/Hudson allows them to, this could be something that really showcases what 8ing has learned in the last few years since they started hanging around the Capcom camp. So, needless to say, I’m very hyped for this. This, UNIB and Persona Fighter are easily the fighting games I’ll be most interested in seeing about in 2012.

I just looked up 8ing. Not sure which Bloody Roar I played but they have TvC and MvC3 under their belts so this could turn out to be interesting if Hudson/Konami gets them to work on it.

I thought he was making reference to other games 8ing has developed. They have a couple of awful anime license fighters under their belt as well.
8ting’s idea of interesting always were the worst parts of their games. I’d rather another development team do it. Their games are always good until someone comes up with an idea.
People in this topic and on the front page seem to enjoy one of the Bloody Roar games 8ing worked on.
I certainly enjoyed 3 and Primal Fury. I mean, it was mashy as all fuck, but it was very enjoyable.
They also made Bloody Roar 4. Which was crap. I want another development team to re imagine The Bloody Roar Series becuase I am scared of what more damage eighting can do to the series as they have done to unnamed others. I never did like eighting developed games, even before that game which shall not be mentioned. My favorite Bloody Roar is 2 btw, not 3. I’ll see though, if they don’t completely fuck up and try to have an idea.

Hopefully we’ll learn more by NYCC which is in 2 weeks time.
Eighting co developed all the Bloody Roar games with Hudson, though I’m not entirely sure how much they had to do with Bloody Roar 4, i think they were credited because 4 ran on a mangled PF engine, regardless they did a good job on the first 3 games in the series.
Also calling Bloody Roar mashy is like calling Tekken mashy because you beat your friend with Eddy Gordo in Tekken 3 as a kid, its kind of ignorant. If you dont like the game fair enough I’m not saying the games perfect no game is, but you can only get away with mashing at an extremely low level of play.
