Fab without jumping?

unfortunately, that’s not so the case with gief in cvs2. he must accomplish 360+270 to execute fab.

the above analysis prior to ur post is right; i pulled it off once at speed one.

i dunno if this will be informative to anyone but here goes. a piledriver has to hit only four points to work:

:l: :d: :r: :u: + :p:
will get you a piledriver.

now it may seem weird, but it’s very possible to do a piledriver like this, especially when you think about how a japanese stick has a square gate (if you dont know what i mean, think of a square with a circle drawn inside. does the circle touch any of the squares corners?).

so since iirc, gief’s jump has 5 frames before he leaves the ground, and you need to complete the above motion twice, it would take 8 frames (the last input and :p: are done during the same frame). since 3 of the first 4 motions can be done without jumping, you have 5 more frames minimum to do the FAB.

(:l: :d: :r: these are all grounded)
:u: :l: :d: :r: :u: + :p:

the timing apparently is very tight, with no frames for any leeway.

how many frames of prejump does gief’s SUPERJUMP have?

just hit standing lk and then do a 720 right away … if the lk whiffs … the grab connects … if the lk hits the guy and he’s blocking … it’ll still grab however if he gets hit by the lk … I don’t know what happens and its 2:45 am and I don’t feel like checking right now but I either do standing lk into 720 with Gief, dash 720, or parry 720 …

Um, guys, do standing 360s by just doing :hcb:(Like Ken’s command roll) and then tapping :u: + P immediately after. So if you can do a HCB, then you can do a standing 360.

Very easy, and is actually faster (Input-wise) than just doing a full 360.

No idea about the 720s, though.
