Who could possibly be disappointed at the inclusion of Don-chan? All will fall before the raccoon-ai vortex.
My hope is that if it’s one of the dolls or something stupid that when they reveal it at final round the whole hall is just dead silent and then one guy yells out “booooooo.”
Sadly, knowing the FGC everyone will freak out and be hyped up at reveal no matter who it is and then rant about how much it sucks on twitter an hour later lol.

Except edition mode is generally accepted as a legitimately good new feature, which is heavily hindered by not being playable online for stupid reasons.
Almost nobody dismissed it afaik. They dismissed the idea of making it the tournament standard right off the bat when all this effort went into doing the ultra edition balance. They dismissed THAT but overall most people have felt that it’s a good idea and will be great for exhibition matches / side tournaments and want it to be available for endless lobbies. The number of people that DON’T like it AT ALL are pretty small, and many of them seem to think ES mode isn’t an optional side game and now you have no option but to fight the broken characters online and everyone is going to pick Sagat in ranked is their usual gripe.

Also, I’ve been checking out a lot of Japanese people’s comments about the game, and Japanese people are also very unhappy that ES isn’t an option online. I’m sure that Capcom will eventually make ES an online feature, but I don’t blame them for not doing it at first.
well yeah, not dismissing it completely i agree, but as soon as it was announced it was like " DONT EVEN DARE TO THINK ABOUT IT AS MAIN EVENT ", tier lists for ES popping everywhere , and the fact that arcade machines will not have surprised me , anyway i dont want to derail the thread and debat about it , am personally fine with any version, i would have already brought ULTRA even without it

I would love if it was the afro lady, I could see it being her since she matches the silhouette the most. She looks like one of those female agents from the 70s. She’d be a great SF character 
Plus this game could use more black women in it lol.

There is no way that you hype up the 5th character like this, admit that people will be dissapointed, and then NOT having something else to reveal with it.
They will probably just announce a PS4 port along with her.
I’d love it if we got some timed exclusive PS4 characters.

Noooo. Could you imagine how fucking long it would take for Capcom to update the PC version to enable those characters?
“PS4 exclusive for 2 months” = 8 month wait for PC
Besides, really what is the reason for console exclusive content other than selfishness? The only time I think content should be exclusive to a system is if it’s simply not feasible to do on another system. E.G. Touch screen content on the Wii U. Or gameplay / graphical modding on PC. Characters owned by the console creator (Sony / Microsoft / Nintendo) obviously would be exclusive as well.
That kind of stuff. Otherwise, exclusive content kind of sucks. Timed exclusive sucks much less obviously.
Well in this case it’d be because Sony payed for it. If it means we get some returning characters like Alex, Karin, Urien, etc. then I’m fine with it. Also, didn’t Capcom say they are trying better to keep the PC version closely more updated to the Console versions?
im kinda interested how this character will be balanced in time, all the work has been done without the 5th character, might end up they are either under or over powered due to lack of balancing with the other characters. hence why im guessing it`1l be one of the dolls with a similar moveset to cammy
It won’t be. All the new characters won’t really be balanced in time. This is so they have another excuse to release Ultra 2015 edition for $15. It will come additonal characters who will also need another new patch to rebalance.
