That would explain why Sean yells out something that sounds like Tornado when he does his kicks.

Don’t be so serious :stuck_out_tongue:

(google “OJ Simpson” if you don’t know who that picture is of)

Appreciate the clarification on what “ojou” means though for those who didn’t know

Just remember, it’s not what you dip your sandwiches in. That’s “Au Jus”

Au Jus-sama would certainly be a Street Fighter first.

Thank you for that. The U pronunciation in Japanese words were always mysterious to me. In Japanese songs, some would say the U really quick or skip it altogether, but in others they would drag it out. Maybe it’s a musical thing, but still I get kinda confused.

 Really? How about you not be so hypocritical, condescending and smart-alecky, thinking I wouldn’t get your lousy joke about OJ but choose to ignore it because a form of address got lumped with a name and a point of clarity was sensed to be useful to others as a result.

The stage of battle is set

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Also, just as your point was made I’d like to mention probably a good portion of the people on this forum weren’t alive during the OJ Trial 20 years ago so they might not know of him so it’d be useful. But hey, keep on truckin buddy

Detour ahead.

It’s fine, and yeah certain letters will be said different when placed to certain ones. R sounds like you’re rolling and clicking with an l sound. Certain consonants will have the u sound there such as Sakura or Naruto. K, t, p and s are all voiceless consonants so the u sounds slightly gone. Sakura sounds more like Sakra. U is supposed to sound like oo but we have to round our lips to say that whereas Japanese people relax them instead so that is where the sound comes from. Also, when U is placed at the end of words, we barely hear that.
Explanation of vowels:
A as in fAther.
E as in Element.
I as in EAsy.
O as in turbO.
W is a letter that is only ever seen when paired with A expect for the case of WO to which the w is not even heard. There are no v, l or q in the language in way of consonants. Also, n is pronounced m before p, b or m. Then you have the double sound of n which is where you can also get the u sound from. It can have a seperate syllable on it’s own such as konbanwa which would be pronounced as ko-n-ba-n-awa. This may be why you hear it in Japanese songs and such.

Dear God that Cody Photoshop lives to see another day O_O

But on topic: I can’t believe Capcom was able to keep the 5th character under wraps for this long. It’s quite amazing.

If it’s Santamu after all then they were not successful. She has been mentioned on Twitter since November.

Less than a week till we hopefully find out who it is

I don’t think it’s Santamu anymore or any doll for that matter. While they did appear in the comics they necessarily from it and they were in the game.

I have a feeling it is Goukens daughter. Hope so, can’t wait until next week

My bets on Don-chan. Those chibi images of the SF4 cast sealed it.

I wouldn’t mind a Decapre alt costume for Cammy, but as a new character, no thanks.

lol what if the fifth character s Hinata? Believe it or not she fits the given hints including the comic part

Nope. not her first time playable in a fighting game.

She was like the main female character in Rival Schools.

We’re in the home stretch now folks…only about a week to go.

Which is completely fucking ridiculous considering the game releases in about a month from now in the arcades.
