I’m pretty sure a troll already knows when he’s trolling
ftfy.
if by making topics to see what people say is how certain people get their rocks off then i really understand that their life fucking blows.
he may get a chuckle, but it only took me 20 seconds tops to write my post, and another minute to check the thread to see if someone responded to me. he obviously took some time to write his, and i’m quite sure he’d be checking and reading every single message.
I got nothing to say except IB4L!
later man!
I strongly disagree with this statement. SF4 is MUCH more deeper than the old 'turbo. Having the choice to use the super meter as an offensive AND defensive move is brilliant. It’s like a game of chess, it’s more strategic. I understand some of your squabbles about the game in general but it just takes more practice to understand and appreciate a game like SF4. Keep at it, you’ll be addicted in no time!
I know. Sad, isn’t it? People say I’m just a whiny, ignorant brat, but all they can do is write snarky remarks like:
etc. etc.
Looks like you and I came off as the mature ones here, Dysan. :smokin:
Still, I have to disagree with you on some of your points.
I fail to see the analogy. Don’t games like Tekken and Soul Calibur require button combinations like Street Fighter to perform special moves? Wouldn’t newbies discover moves in those games by ‘slapping buttons together’? And wouldn’t there be more to find?
Yeah, whatever happened to that? The Excel meter did offer a lot more combo possibilities, and Capcom could easily have offset excessive damage with scaling. Yet another option the game is lacking.
There seems to be a conflict of gameplay here. Capcom claim that simplifying the moves list makes the game more accessible. But if combos have no cancelling, no ground hits and require more precise timing to juggle, how is that more accessible?
I’m aware of the quick recovery, but I still try to avoid flooring my opponents because, without ground hits, the gameplay feels slowed down. Dashing could have been so much better by extending the range of your hits or performing a charge attack like Pocket Fighter. Again, it just feels lacking.
You say that like it’s a bad thing. Won’t mid-air combos offer more gameplay possibilities? Still, I don’t complain about other fighting games that have minimum air attacks like Tekken or Soul Calibur because the 3D movement and extra moves make up for it.
Actually, it’s more like being a boxer and having one arm tied behind your back. You have fewer options available to you and you could still theoretically win with one arm, but it’s not something you’d be good at or know how to do properly if you’re used to fighting with both fists.
You know what? Forget super moves. Why not just have simple punches and kicks? You could make a balanced fighting game out of that by judging your attacks depending on speed and damage. On second thoughts, scratch that. Why not just have one attack button? Yeah, that’s right. One attack. You’d have to win by timing when to block and strike. You could make a game out of that. It would be a balanced fighting experience. But dammit, it wouldn’t be any fun! Don’t you want more punches and kicks? Don’t you want more moves? Don’t you want more attack possibilities? Don’t you want more?
So why not just have all Ultras (or Supers or whatever) available to you like in the Alpha or VS. games? Ultras are simply stronger moves, and like all moves, there’s one for every occassion. You’d need a Shinkuu Hadouken to attack someone from a distance, or a Shinryuuken to counter a jump-in attack, or a Final Atomic Buster to catch a turtle off-guard. I reiterate, more moves = more possibilities.
Honestly, I probably would. There’s a phenomenon going on here that I don’t understand. I’m a hardcore fighting fan, but I don’t see what’s so special about SF4. I’m more eager to see what’s in store for the VS., Soul Calibur or Smash Bros. games. Have you noticed that each installment has gotten better with the inclusion of more gameplay enhancements? Take the hint…
well I turned 28 yesterday I guess that gives me the right to flame you
I will simply say that there is a is a new vs coming out soon I hope you will enjoy that one
boy, this game is not for you.
and that doesnt mean it sucks at all.
SFIV is dank.
^Honestly SFIV isn’t my favourite game either, but it’s miles better than that other SF game people used to be crazy about before it came along.
I’d play Mortal Kombat: Sub Zero rather than play any of the MvC games. You obviously like button mashing over execution and strategy, that’s fine.
I don’t get why people are so up in arms over your choice though; I mean, one less scrub Ken flowchart or Turtle Ryu to get through when playing online and then sends you hate mail or ragequits when he loses. People here should be THANKING YOU!!
wow the OP is so full of fail, and it doesn’t have to do w/his opinion of not liking the game.
- OP thinks you can’t cancel regular moves and therefore starting combos with light punches/kicks is bad.
- he wants air blocking - no SF game (in the original SF line) has had air blocking, why would it now?
- saying there is no consistency with what will happen - just flat out wrong.
- dashes are usless - again just flat out wrong. the dash is the basis for FADC.
i mean the list can go on and on but it’s pointless because the OP obviously has no clue what to do in this game.
On his birthday, no less. Hope things are better for you next year, Glitcher.
This has gone on long enough.
