I had another guy actually who would do this. I don’t understand why they do it. His name was like UltimateDoG or something, he just doesn’t press ‘ready’, and waits there for ages. I got bored after like 4 minutes, but he kept popping up again on the lobby and refused to start the match.
That is odd… Then again leaderboards for all games are rife with cheating.
in my experience Evil Ryu 78 will play you if he thinks you’re bad or if he doesn’t recognize you. he will always taunt at the end of every round he wins. if he gets a huge life lead and you’re almost dead he will back off of you and then taunt you a bunch of times. if you start beating him and he remembers you, he will no longer accept your matches in ranked.

Wow, sounds like a total prick.
He did the same thing to me months ago. Ever since he just sits there when we get matched in rank.
Total prick.

And then your Remy barely bested my Ken.
Asshole. (J/K BTW)
I sorta recall this guy called “DuranArts” who is suddenly in the PSN Top 20 with only 2000+ wins. WTF???
ran into him today too. hes currently #2 ranked sean.
though when i played him, it was completely one sided for me lol
Duralath I have gotten to play a few more times, still the only legit player I can recall coming across online.
:O… I thought I was legit :(… Never mind then. Gonna stop playing SCV now and play SF3 again.
I hadn’t played 3SO on 360 for a while and I remember wrecking his shit daily. He never stopped playing me. He mashes throw in every close encounter situation (but this is online, so it works).
I played against him and he picks Ryu. Forgot who I picked. Played, I lost… Fuck that. Picked Sean. He was in a perpetual state of “I’m going to just put insurmountable pressure on.” Turns out he sucks at baiting and can’t stop Sean from dashing up an throwing. When he tech rolls he always throws out a heavy sweep. I guess he didn’t remember me…
Lol i forgot. Duralath is still the best player ive faced online.
Ggs papizy and eatabletech you guys I don’t play enough against. Especially u nica it was really great hearing feedback about what I was doing thank u for explaining why it’s so hard to reach that next level. If I had to run out mid match my bad had to change a diaper or two peace.

Nothing is really good against Hugo as far as footsies go. You’d be surprised… c.mk is good as an anti air and hp punishes Hugo’s mp whiffs. STAY OUT OF THE CORNER. In Mak v. Hugo, if you can keep the fight in the middle of the screen or push him to the corner the match becomes a lot more tolerable.
You REALLY need to punish normals with Hayate. A charged Hayate (for like a second or two) is also safe on block (well, at least haven’t been punished for it online or offline) and and can bait some risky things. Every close encounter situation (i.e; Post Karakusa>hpxHayate combo) is a 50-50 that always seems to be in Hugo’s favor.
Here’s my strategy when it comes to this fight:
Run like a little bitch. Punish normals w/ hayate. If I land a karakusa I either burn the EX meter for the knockdown or I hayate feint and do the most random thing that comes to mind. Most things are better than the 50-50 situation that I described. If I get Hugo in the corner my objective is to block and look to land an EX fukiage. If I ever get stuck in the corner my mind goes to fuck it mode and I’ll just keeping jumping forward.

That’s another mystery of mankind. He actually tried to pull off a Ken against me yesterday (no success there)
Me? Well I main Alex and Elena, but online I pretty much pick everyone, but when it’s time to get serious, I usually resort to those 2…
So yeah, I feel the pain of being a non Chun player.
I’ve finally reached rank 0 on XBL
currently sitting at -31526/0 rank points
I feel like a true online champion now
now if only I could stop losing to all the Akumas and Dudleys I’d have like 300 less losses

I don’t see what’s so difficult about facing off against Hugo with Makoto.
If you manage a single jump in mk and land without being punished for hitting too high then you are perfect Makoto mix up range. But! if you don’t want to resort to a jump in to get in then just wait for whiffs. While his shit has good start up and priority, His recovery is ass and the only thing that’ll really keep him safe from Makoto dash ins or chestos after a whiff would be reversal 360 a priori to which you could reply with a jump once you dash in. Then that moves him into his anti air games and THAT is where the mix up starts. Don’t try to mix him up anytime before then because it’s pointless to try and mix up a hugo from far away. If you went with Hayate; If HP hayate instead of hitting 'em with the tips of your knuckles then he gets a free 360, I think. Numbers might wrong on that one, though
Take this with a grain of salt and you should be fine. Use it but don’t rely on it. Hugo may be big but he doesn’t necessarily have to be dumb. He’s a tulpa, after all.
