Excellent players you played online

CafeEnrique is a great player but a bit of a douchebag. Why do french players have so much attitude?

im on now if you wanna play

ok, I’m gonna take one turn in this lobby I’ve been waiting for (on XBL) and then I’ll get on PS3

Got raped by Duralaths Makoto in ranked. I have no idea how to get out of her command grab

GGs to Poe22222 for playing FT10 with me. It’ll be uploaded soon

jump, cr jab, if your playing chun her far roundhouse (you could also hold towards and press rh) beats throws.

Know the Karakusa setup and punish accordingly. Remember, every successful Hayate means stupid mix-up. If I’m abusing something, catch on and punish my abuse, since I’ll use it until you give me a reason not to.

Don’t you just hate Mak v. Mak? We played about a week or 2 ago. My PSN tag is Swagkoto… Because I’m cool like that.

Every single iteration of Chun’s hk is ridiculously good -__-… Close; she can super cancel, far; she can’t be thrown and beats lows; crouching; great AA hit-box (It’s like Mak’s c.mk on SUPERCRACK). You could probably go through a whole match w/ HP and HK alone and win consistently…

far roundhouse can be linked to sa2 if hit on crouchers …its a good move.

We gotta kill this bitch… I’ve never seen that happen b4.

I, too, came to a greater appreciation of Chun’s power tonight after playing ft10 against EricGGMusic. I have only played one or two Chun mainers with any regularity, and those guys are pretty new. Tonight I spent way more time trapped in the corner by far fierce/kara throws/crazy hitbox jump in moves than I have in past Chun matches, and he generally did a nice job or sticking out one of them godly normals we all know and love with not too much risk for him and plenty of potential damage taken for me. Eric seemed to have a good gameplan of putting on what I would describe as that slow, fairly conservative, but very much anxiety-inducing pressure, where he’s not likely to go on too much of a furious assault but he walks forward and lands those brutal pokes enough that you know if you do something stupid you’re probably losing 50% life. I became quite tentative during the middle of the set because of that. Thanks for the ggs dude. I’m hungry to improve in this match-up, so let’s play more soon… In the meantime, I am gonna study the match-up and discuss it with my Akuma mentors.

P.S. You should really remove Remy from your signature… :stuck_out_tongue:

Gouki v Chun feels so lopsided. Seems like Gouki has to play really well.

What’s wrong with Remy?!

Didn’t even know -Funland had a Remy. Saw tonight, but we still couldn’t even teach another guy thru both playing him with ours and or playing against eachother whilst he watched our Remy mirror. Special moves only back to back, color packs only, never cancel into a special, and def not charge both LOV and Flash kick same time. Def didn’t care about juggles or Funlands great use of Super. Everdred rolling over… in his character forums.

Obviously I still have a lot to learn about the match-up, but yeah clearly Chun has a lot to work with and can do insane damage to Akuma… Akuma has some stuff… if he can get a knockdown when she doesn’t have meter and/or get her in the corner, he can definitely do some work. But of course, you first have to get through the Forcefield of Meter-Building and Pain, aka back fierce… Chun’s only good reversal is ex spinning bird, so that’s a plus, and as dumb as it might sound, I’ve really neglected to learn Chun’s anti-air game in light of the fact that she doesn’t have an SRK or other overtly anti-air-focused move, but of course she can move around and zone with the fierces, and I feel like she can hold her own air-to-air unless you air tatsu, which is not something you can just throw out if she has super… It seems pretty obvious that Akuma is fighting an uphill battle in the ground game/footsie war, so at this point I’m thinking that approaching creatively and safely from the air could one of the big keys for Akuma - empty jumping with the ability to parry her normals as you get in her grill, jumping in with air fireball shield while she’s spamming for meter… There are clearly key differences, but it reminds me a little of what I find so difficult about the Yun match-up… You can’t afford to let him build geneijin, which doesn’t take very long, but if you overextend trying to get to him and he tags you, then that very combo or knockdown could very well result in… geneijin. Chun’s meter is obviously a lot longer, but she is also much more tank-like in that she can just hold her ground - she doesn’t have to fly around avoiding you, which can put Yun at great risk. It’s very new for me to go into a game thinking “I’ve got to do as much as I can before he gets meter,” but if there’s ever a time to take advantage of the early, meterless stages of the first round, this would be it, I guess.

I was actually talking about EricGG, unless I am misunderstanding what you’re saying. I didn’t know Funland had a Remy, either. This I’ll have to see. I’ve seen Everdred like once in the last four months. :frowning:

Everdred has an excellent Remy

not that bad really. Gouki can still fight her better than the majority of the cast. Just requires a lot from the Gouki player to play it that way. If the player can’t use demon flips well, or doesn’t have confidence on the ground it just makes it so much easier for Chun. Gouki actually as some pretty sweet setups against Chun.

I’ve been trying really hard to main/sub Remy and I do get a lot of wins with him on ranked.

I guess that goes to show how bad ranked is =\ I really wanna pick up another character though, I just don’t have an idea who -_- LOL. GGs man, our FT10 is in the online video thread.

Chun is the best and the hottest. Dont be unfaithful to her.

But these chars are cool for alts or secondaries : Gouki, Ken, Makoto, Yun, Ibuki, Ryu, Yang. I use ken and mak as casuals. Training Gouki to be my main alt.

Oso571 is good

anyone know who he is or who he mains? beat me with like half the cast

No clue. Ran into him the other day, not too shabby.
