go through my mvc2 ft5 playlist on my youtube for rogue play. though i wouldnt recommend all of it since i become very predictable after a while, but then again, its not like rogue has alot of options compared to storm/mag/ironman
Yeah, he is. We attend the same University. Him and Face pretty much run things in NC (There’s a running joke that anyone who enters a 3S tourney in NC is paying their rent). I’m trying real hard to get to their point though. (Face hates my reckless decision making, but I play Mak… So yeah… I play reckless and fearless) There are a lot of names here in NC who still play on occasion: Jibbo and AutoMattock. Pretty sure both of them “retired” from tournaments though. There’s some liveliness in the play here and it’s all good competition. There was another guy who played Alex who looked like Sage Francis. He was a pretty amazing player too.
Glad I’m not playing online for a while. Some of the things that work but absolutely in no way would fly offline work online… Effectively… Also, there’s an “I just wanna do cool shit,” I possess when I play online not an “I want to win,” style. See, unlike matches that I play to win offline, I play online and try to win as fast as possible. I don’t know why, it’s just what online does to me. I’ve learned some things online that are good but for the most part, a lot of tactics I developed online won’t work off. Psshhh… People don’t block online. Wake-up parry all day, son.
Now, I do have to respect some guy: the real 2nasty. He did some things I was very unaccustomed to but his Alex was good. I think it was more me becoming frustrated because the things he did really got in my head but hey, that’s a good player.
Artayes, are you trying to validate yourself w/ “going back and forth with Sandybags?” I mean, I think you’re giving yourself too much credit here. I’ve come to see online a festering pit of mashing that I can no longer really contend in seriously because I know my opponents doing something completely irrational and SF4-esque. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been thrown out of/reversal super’d c.lkxxEX-Oroshi (Makoto’s overhead)… Thrown/reversal’d after a cancellable move… That’s clearly being cancelled… …-__-… I don’t know if that will sink in as far as establishing what kind of players play online but it should give you a good picture as to why most people don’t take playing online seriously… 3rd Strike is not 3S ONLINE… It’s much like saying Counter-Strike (a tactful game) is (Insert Generic Modern FPS Here) Team Deathmatch. You can be great at 3rd Strike Online but I’ll more than happy with being a competent (though still learning) 3rd Strike player. And considering I only started playing seriously last March, I’ve come a long way.

You should come down to fayetteville sometime, at funfunfun we have a mvc2 and 3s cab. Tho its only same handfull of people playing 3s. I think they still play 3s at elite zone, they def play other games/newer ones.

Rank is completely meaningless at this point in 3soe’s life span. By now I’ve already been from rank 1 to 0 (kinda like rank 25) twice since it resets after rank 0. I use junky ranked matches for a bit of warm up or if I’m really tired/drunk/high. So this oro that was rank 2 either has been through at least one full rank cycle or he hardly ever plays ranked like many of the good players of xbl.
I really want to buy a 3s Cab. I’ve been meaning to make it out to an EZ tourney. But last time I heard, they were pretty badly run. I’ll try to make the next monthly in May. I still have grievances against CornerTrap (think he left for the marines) and Raf (first time I played him I was playing so bad that I switched to Sean… I was doing better with Sean than Mak that day -__-… Then over the progress of 6 months I learned… FOOTSIES o.O

I’ve played you a lot. You can learn a lot if you ask. Also, friend some people who are better than you and request to play them. That’s what I did and (by the power of the anonymity of the internet) it’s a real easy introduction process. That, or you could plug in your mic. I don’t chat because my mic can’t plug into my stick (pretty sure this is a malfunction of a lot of Madcatz SE’s) but send me a friend request and I’d be glad to spar with you.

sigh I am so tired of repeating this so many times.
first off, I was just saying that about Sandybags because it’s true, second off, sandybags is not a masher and a very good Hugo player. he knows 3s like I do, you don’t have to play offline to know this.
but like I have said a million times, I have always been an offline player, but first and foremost, I am a 3s player. I play online because its an easy adjustment with players with decent ping. its not a big difference. I have played some good players on and offline, the outcomes is always the same.
if I beat players online consistently that ARE good players offline, then I would beat them offline too, it’s not rocket science, and I don’t care if you believe that or not, that is the truth.
I started with sf 2 before playing online existed. I spent almost every day in the arcades (like my second homes), and I know from all my experience regardless of what half these losers say, is that 3s from offline to online is not a big difference at all. I still play offline but only with a limited amount of competitors.
there IS great competition online, you just have to find it.
offline, I won one tourney. got second in like 10 tourneys. and one tourney I didn’t even place. 
I was playing and supporting 3s before half of you assholes even existed or knew about the game.
I went in a room once with Nica and had my headset on. He was nonstop talking to darage and some others about how great he is and how he is going to win all these competitions. how he beats other top players so bad and just how good he thinks he is. a total douschebag…sounds like one too.
