LOL… Yeah, I played EatableTech again last night. I used to think he was incredible, but then I realized he was beasting me at 5:00 AM my time, when I’m typically praying the effects of the pot and/or alcohol will overtake the Adderall and I can sleep off my utter zombiehood… Even so, last night he resorted to a few mashed out Shin Lagryukens to squeak by my four hour-old Ken before I stopped trying to avoid his ragequitting and went ahead and donkeypunched him in the balls with Akuma about five times and wished him “adieu” (given his lag tactics, his AOL 4.0 connection, and his XBL avatar being a soccer ball, I can only assume he is French).

Hilariously, I spent most of the night before that playing Eatable taking on Artayes and The Real 2Nasty… Hahahaha the thirty solid, dedicated American 3S players form such an awesome dysfunctional family.
Wait, we are talking about EatableTech66676542069, right?
Edit - oh, shit, I hadn’t seen a lot of the newer posts in the thread. LOL even more. (and all concerned parties note the “:P” in my post, as well). Artayes, thanks for the props. I continue to appreciate your respect for my play very much, and it was definitely a big part of me getting even more into 3S around the start of this year. Ryan and I PMed a little bit actually and I think we are pretty much on the same page, and hopefully we can play more and at least one of us can level up a bit.
Edit 2 - I’ve only played kefkaggpo twice that I remember, first time I did pretty well, but a couple of weeks ago we played four or five games in a big lobby and he beat me either every game or every game but one. I played Gunfight (and another European guy) just two games a few weeks ago and I beat him badly, but I’m way too smart and mature to judge our relative skill based on two very laggy games when he may or may not have been drunk or on the phone with his lover or wtf knows what
Also, I’d like to say that re: offline or online being different… I weigh the validity of my performances, and those of my opponents, based on several factors such as 1. how laggy the matches are 2. how close the games are 3. how many games we’ve played against each other 4. character match-up 5. the specifics of why/how I’m winning/losing the games… so like, if I play someone, totally hypothetically, from California, with a yellow connection, and we both dominate a few rounds and a lot of the rounds are very close and end with a failed reversal attempt or both players trying to chip or footsie to land a super that will win the game for either player… and if in the end of all of that, the score is 7-2 in either direction, I’m not going to walk away from that feeling like the guy who won more games rocked the other guy. I’m going to recognize that most of the games came down to a throw or a parry or a hit confirm in the third round that was either landed or missed by a tiny fraction of a second… but that doesn’t invalidate a lot of the stuff that happened throughout that whole set. A set like that is going to have plenty of good spacing, mindgames, parries, baits, etc. etc., and that’s still valid and worth experiencing even if the result of every individual game isn’t reliable compared to offline.
