Renew that live! I’d like to play again. Maybe the patch will even come out.

Ryan vs Artayes lets gooooooooooooooooo!

He already got man-raped by Ryan Yun.

sometimes he shows up, plays a few games, and uploads his wins to youtube with snarky titles. of course with t-bagging at the end of the round.

you’re not really missing out on much

LOL and I was just re-reading the earlier pages in this thread covering the Ryan vs Artayes shit.

I was gonna ask this in the general thread. but I have a habit of diverting the topic when Louis asks a question. figured I’d ask here instead. you guys already mentioned Evo anyway.

how many of you are going to Evo for sure?

I might be able to make it out. I didn’t think I’d be able to get the days off but it looks possible now. If I work it right I can fly in Thursday night, fly back Monday morning. It’s about $700 once everything is accounted for so I only want to go if there’ll be some good 3s happening. I’m not going to play anything else after all.

this is pretty tentative. I need to get the days off, and make sure I’m still in a good financial situation when I get back. if I can square that all away I’ll see you there!

Replace the Evo thread title of like my “SF 25th with MOV”

& recent news = EVO with Ryan:SakoTacoMonte

with EVO with IglooBob!

and I have no idea how Alex is going to be doing Dudley stuff. Special cancel that Heavy arm bar overhead fierce? The devs probably really liked the animation followthru. Its really long, too long to have a Dudley in your face Dart Shot-like link right there. Plus Dudley has 1 parry opening combos and ducking taking a risk (confirm from Strong) but other ways to get in and super off that too. His supers are really good and aren’t lacking things that Alex SA2 is missing.

I believe we need Dander for both of these new talking points. I kept bothering Dander to go to EVO last year and he did want to meet the infamous IglooBob. I was going to tell that other guy he can play a pad Denjin Ryu but I’m sorry he won’t be Denjizz when he asked who was coming to EVO for him to battle.

I’d really like to play Dander in person! would be pretty sick.

What’s with Akuma-HAX replying to posts in the wrong thread? My point was this: yes, Dudley can get in. But he can’t punish whiffs nearly as well as Alex and still has to work on getting in on top of that. I also notice Dudley’s try to jump in a lot more. Which Alex can do as well, but because he can punish whiffs he can push them towards the corner and threaten them a little more than Dud. I don’t doubt Dud’s gdlk confims into SA3 or his juggles but I am suggesting that Alex is slightly better in the footsie/zoning game and dealing with runaway.

oh man agree/like/insightful, this is pretty neat

I want a “mostly like but with some reservations” button

All about what you mean by footsies.

What whiff punishing tools are we talking about here. I hope its my favorite: (FScreen EX) of which Shoulder works, MGB you will not ever want to do but that pushes far just the same when you earn it.

Dudley shouldn’t have to jump in all the gdang time but risk reward seems in his favor there. Everyone likes jump in combos, one of the first things we all learn on our own. And this game isn’t won by zoning all that much. Dudley is different than Alex, I’m not arguing otherwise. He will have things he might be able to do better than Dudley.

You put some changes out there again! I’m not one to worry too much about that and make it a big deal but just gave you a little bit on maybe why Alex didn’t get the rare “Heavy overhead right into Super.”

Well, there’s a perception (not sure if it’s Japan’s perception or something that exists only on here) that Dudley and Alex are similar in how they’re played. And it’s assumed that Dudley is way better than Alex overall and I don’t see it that way. I see it more as a Ying and Yang kinda’ thing. Dudley/Chun no doubt Dudley has a way better chance against her than Alex and if that alone makes him overall better than Alex than I agree completely.

But in terms of dealing with different play-styles I think Alex has a better time with defense/zoning/footise dudes. I could get into matchups but I’ll save that for the General 3S thread which I see just got a response.

Jesus Christ. Always online = always screwed. These companies acting like SHINRA

WTF? I check in and there’s an Insightful button now…

Alex is a fucking awful character… Seriously

oh man. there’s an LOL reaction now too. Tebbo thought it was ridiculous when we had Agree and Like buttons. little did he know.

So instead of actual post interaction, everything’s now an action listed underneath every post. I’m not entirely sure how I’m supposed to feel about this.

And going back on-topic, JAK… is still my favorite Makoto to play against on PSN, so that is all.
