I knew, im just saying seems unfair. Regardless Hugo isn’t one of the worst. He does better then zangief in almost all areas. He more mid tier.

dude you are way off base in your criticisms with Hugo. I am gonna confidently assume you don’t play Hugo or Zangief to make that statement.

I have played zangief and a bit of Hugo. Zangief has better knockdown game. Hugo has better pokes and a better anti-air. Hugo is also much faster as well. Zangief can get in easier as well. Hugo has absorbs on some attacks. Zangief has one. Hugo can combo better and has a bigger damage output then zangief. Your statement is invalid.

Hugo’s JAB has the same startup as most people’s fierce, and just as much or more recovery. his other moves are even worse.

Gief plays MUCH faster than Hugo, as long as the Gief knows what he’s doing. it’s not even comparable. Gief has faster buttons, better walk speed, a moves that shoots him all over the screen at high speed, etc.

And Gief’s EX green hand does way better than absorb attacks, it just flat out goes through them. that’s way better than Hugo’s easily countered armor.

Well he does trade speed for range. Zangief does’t have as much of that.

But ok ok. I guess I don’t know much about Hugo and my statements are off.

im probably late on this but still, back dashes are considered airborne, hugos back breaker only hits airborne opponents, so how is it unfair that hugo hits you while you are technically considered in the air?
