EX Compendium - Everything you need to know about EX Special Moves - SSF4 Edition

Hey, I noticed there wasn’t any damage information for Rose’s EX Spark. If you need the info, the damage is 100 compared to 80 for the regular.

Corrections needed for Honda. ex.hb has mp range not hp. But it has full body invincibility until the 2nd hitting frame. ex.bs has mk.bs range not hk range and is invincible until the 2nd hitting frame.

Correction for Chun : EX legs is 4 hits and 160 damage.

This thing should be stickied.

Gen’s EX Hands: Makes mk>hands mk>hands possible.

Great work, thanks for this!

Updated. Thanks for the corrections/additions, everyone. Keep them coming.

Chun Li
>Hyakuretsukyaku (Lightning Legs)
Damage: 160
-Four hits only

Cody
**>Criminal Upper **
-Adds invincibility (startup frames only)
-Invincibility does not extend to active frames.

E.Honda
>Sumo Headbutt
-Same range as MP version
>Sumo Smash
-Adds invincibility
-Same range as MK version3

Gen
>Hyakurenko (Hands)
-Up to eight hits
-Does not push opponent as far back as normal versions
-Links into far s.MK against some characters.

Rose
>Soul Spark
Damage: 100

E. Honda EX Oicho extends the range very slightly beyond lp range, giving it the best range of his oichos.

It’s not terribly useful but there it is.

after looking at the hitbox info… it has the same range as lp version… still the same as in vanilla.

EX Oicho is a bug. It gives MP damage with LP range. It provides no invincibility, or anything to warrant using this over the regular version. This was the case in vanilla as well.

A quick correction/addition, but more of a shameless bump than anything. =D

Guy

>Kaiten Izuna Otoshi (Air Command Grab)
Damage: 170 (Compare to: 180)
-Grabs at same height as LP version (lowest)

Yoga Burst > Yoga Blast

Tandem Engine takes 2 EX bars.

Unless, of course, they changed it. Then my mistake.

Some notes on Seth’s ex.Attacks that I think should be added to the OP.

  • For Chun-Li, EX Spinning Bird Kick is always aerial, whereas a normal one is grounded on startup.
  • Ken can combo EX air Tatsumaki Senpukyaku into Ultra 2. It’s kinda tricky, but he can do it.

Dee Jay can nullify one projectile (that is, not an EX, multi-hitting one) with his EX Machine Gun Upper.
