Like I said earlier, the purpose of this event was to set up rematches for those involved in the drama last year, so that’s why you and your bro (and Valle, and Shirts, and lots of other people) weren’t included.
However, I’m not quite sure what to do now. If this event falls through (and it’s looking like it might), maybe we will just scratch this idea all-together and do a 10-man round robin of death.
But then we arrive right back at the problem of how do we decide who gets to participate?
How about:
Alex Wolfe
Graham Wolfe
Jason Cole
John Choi
Jason Nelson
Now in my opinion thats the Sunnyvale OG Crew no one can touch.
A.K.A. The Dangerous Crew.
Team NoCal vs SoCal
Watson
Valle
Shirts
Wilson
Jabari

Damn, lethal. If we combined, unstoppable 10-man team. I would bet $1000 against anyone.
not to be funny or a dick, but if you guys ever played jabari, im 100% sure he would go at very worst 50/50. too bad that guy gets in nasty car wrecks and fucking quit playing.
watts
haha
choi representin that dangerous crew
aaaAAAAAAAaAAAAaaaAA
Hints he wants to play again. We just have to get him over Dream’s or my house.
You too. We all need to practice: Valle, you, me, Wilson…just cuz.
I would love to see Nor Cal vs. So Cal, and then Cali vs. Anyone. Thats would be some dam good street fighter. Sunnyvale vs. Southern hills… Dam we had some battles.
heh so now its changed to just completely ignoring new skool (LOL) with the idea of having N. cal vs S. cal. Well, it definately will be a much more exciting ST tournament thats for sure. Since its all in good fun, i dont mind.
Maybe after, we can have a little gauntlet battle and let the new skool try to run through all of Cali.
Anyway, all new skool has to do to prove themselvs is place in top 8 again this year. That right there will show that it was no fluke. Having a 5 vs 5 new agaisnt old is just a slaughter right now. It wont even be fun to watch even if new skool swept old skool. So whatevers.
N.cal vs S.cal

no thanks to you OG players :-p
Though whose hardware will you run it on? Throwing out the guy thats actually running it and using his hardware isn’t exactly… respectful.

Beware of Dog
When I feel like im being disrespected ill speek up.
ok, just sayin is all.
Well I’m not trying to exclude anyone, just thought it would be a cool format. To tell you the truth, the 5 on 5 stuff is great but back in the days we didn’t have to do that to figure out who the best player/s were. You new who the best player was because no one could beat him and he stayed on the machine
I think having a 5 on 5 or Cali vs. the world would be cool but having an open cabinet were players can battle each other is very telling too. Needless to say, when I first came to Sunnyvale I knew Thomas Osaki was the best one there because he could go all night on one token.
…? I don’t understand your reasoning. People love to watch upsets…
At any rate, if the 5-on-5 is not gonna happen, should we just go with NorCal vs. SoCal vs. New School? What kind of format should we use? Or should we just abandon the idea all together and let the singles and team tourney speak for themselves?
Im thinking that the 5v5 is kind of out now. Why dont we just plan on having some supersecret ST tournies like last year. And so much casual we will not want to play ST till next evo.
I can guarantee that when ever ST isn’t on for a tourny game it will be on a cabinet for casual play. We will never be with out ST at evo. Then at night when they kick us out of the BYOC ill take a cabinet up to may room and we can all play till the sun comes up. Hell im even thinking about brining my own coffee maker so i can be sure to stay up all night playing.
Ok fuk it, new skool vs N.Cal vs S.Cal - Round Robin top 2 teams play it out one more time to see who is on top.
lol

I never said I think we should scrap the 5 on 5. 5 on 5 would be really cool to have but I’m saying that having an open cabinet would be a good idea too. I havn’t been to evo or any other tournaments for a really long time. To tell you the truth I really don’t know about the time constraints, etc. or even how much people play them game at these tournaments. In any case, the more matches & events the better.
