Man, EC got some beasts so does Cali. I think Cali has more good players, but to sleep on EC like this is crazy. Art came through and raped a lot of good players and got raped aint no thang. Joe had some good matches vs good players and got hit by a character he has no idea how to play against. Im sure round time for EVO these cats won’t make the same mistakes and will be better prepared. I still like WC all day, but EC got some dope players too.

Sabin did well at the SBO qual. and if anything that makes this regional tournament that much more exciting. After the east coast roast of JWong I was fearing that Justin was the only good playing on the EC and that WC was gonna mop the floor with everyone. Sabin holding his own against the best the WC has to offer adds more hype to this advent.
and yes, Floe is by himself here in the midwest… poor guy.
Though I’m expecting big things from the South east region thanks to DreamTRs arcade. Those Tennesse players may be the darkhorse of this event.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if EC wins it all. Which has to do entirely with how large the EC is compared to the cali. Cali has a ton of great players. But with that means its difficult to form the best team for cali. EC being a lot smaller player base makes it a lot easier to pick and choose the best players for their team.
Marn: Regardless of the drama, please don’t abandon the EC team. One sour event, or word, or person, shouldn’t discourage you. Fact of the matter is, this event is about putting on a good show. If you leave the EC team, there’s no doubt you’ll be put on the wildcard team, but consider how unfair that would be. There are many excellent players from all over America who are looking at that spot as a last chance to prove their skills. You’ve already shown that you’re a beast, PLUS you’re eligible for the EC team; many of those aforementioned players wouldn’t be. (Ken I, Keno, Dagger G, Combo Jack, Bustabust, Dae, etc.) I mean, whatever decision you make is ultimately up to you, but I just want you to realize that EC would be a stronger team, thus giving a better show, if you were a part of it.
Potter: Let’s be honest, Combofiend murked EC because they had no clue about that match-up. It was the same when Valle, Watson, and Paul lost to Art; they simply weren’t familiar with the match-up. I mean, no excuses, a win is a win, and Combofiend is hands down a monster, but to think EC isn’t going to work on their weak spots and come back as a formidable force (not just Justin) is laughable. Dude, Art went to AI the next night and was beating me, Keno, Christian, and Ed pretty damn consistently. Sure, he lost at quals, but you have to give credit where it’s due. Regardless of history, don’t sleep on those guys; they’re strong.

In Denjin Arcade, WC ppl are good at back from back machines, but in EC ppl are good at side to side machines it makes a huge different from two kinds of style machines, samething, if combofiend comes to CHINA TOWN FAIR, We gonna prove this .

Yeah, for sure, and not least because most players in SoCal got started or still play on machines that were/are side to side.
In Austin, our machines are back to back AND side to side, therefore we are better than everyone.
