if you just look at the track record you have to include LPN. if you cant win a tournament i dont see how you should be considered for the team or have not placed in the top 3.
i definitely think LPN and/or A_rival come up as good players for the 5on5. (i think LPN won the very first fuddruckers and has placed pretty high for other tournies, but i wouldn’t say just winning the first fuddruckers is gaurantee that he should be on)
i believe magus got 4th at the last fuddruckers (and the top 3 were choi/ricky/crack), his viper is very strong on the offensive. and i seen him just wreck players in tournies
filipino champ i think got 7th, but he looks fairly reliable against sagat players. he can hold his own against cole’s rog. not to mention being mike ross last devestation(i think)
all 4 are really great players for the 5on5 with all around the same credentials, but i choose magus and filipino champ instead due to their characters.
LPN uses rog/bison/ken and A_rival uses chun. and we have crack/ricky/ and choi(if choi is cool with joining the team). so adding a Cviper and dhalsim on the team would definitely add a nice variety for matchup purposes as well as difficulty for some players who never played against viper/dhalsims of that level before.

Auuuuuggh. That is an extremely tough fifth pick. Considering match-ups, I would go with Haunts. Not only so that there’s an extremely solid Sagat on the team, but because the boy is hungry

Congrats, I didn’t see any of your matches yesterday but I seen the matches from SBO quals and she was vicious.
Andry is the official 3rd member of the team. Andry has performed well in last few tourneys and Viper is a new character that not many players are accustomed to fighting. So adding a competent Viper makes for a great asset to our team.
So far the members and characters are:
Ricky Ortiz - Rufus
Crackfiend - Boxer
Magus1234 - C. Viper
i like how choi still hasn’t put himself on the team and yet no one cares and we all consider him already on the team. even if choi said “oh i’m not gonna be on the team”, everyone is still going to list him on the team. there’s no way around it!
honestly, how does the 5on5 work. cuz another deciding factor would be whether or not the players can use different characters when they face new teams.
we wouldn’t really need another sagat on the team due to choi
we wouldn’t need another chun due to ricky
if that’s the case,it leave us with Filipino champ and lpn. and my bias is flipino champ. i think dhalsim is just too good of a character to pass up.
but if the character selection has to be set in stone BEFORE the 5on5 tourney starts. a sagat player would be really nice too. i havent’ seen haunts play, but judging by who he’s taken out, haunts would be my choice, even tho kaizer has placed very well in the last two fuddruckers.
on a side note, this is where everyone should be contributing their thoughts! i dont’ think tourney results after this fuddrucker is really going to matter anymore. and we are still looking for the 5th. it seems pretty much the 5th spot might go to popularity vote since our candidates are ALL equally very skilled and all done well in tournies.

The team tournament rules state you have to announce your character before hand and you can not switch. Everyone must stick with their character for the entire team tournament. Also, no duplicate characters are allowed on 1 team.
Imo i think filipino champ should be in the 5v5 norcal team. He got really close to beating ricky’s rufus and cole’s boxer.
