Man, I have no idea. I just know when MK got banned (whether he’s unbanned or not I don’t know) that I laughed my ass off and facepalmed because of how stupid it was.

Whether any of these games win or not, they should still show up and throw side tourneys. You’re winning an EVO stream and the stage, which helps a lot for getting viewed by the public but don’t be put off if you lose.

I’m pretty sure if MLP wins, and the EVO crew sees that like only 10 people bought passes for the game the time it comes around, I’m sure they’ll be like “okay, looks, 10 really isn’t enough, we’re gonna drop the 8th game/get the 8th game with the highest number of entrants on”.
But then you’ll get people complaining that EVO didn’t hold up their end of the bargain. Perhaps they could make it that the next highest-donating game gets the spot, but the inevitable MLP side-tourney gets on stream or something?
Personally I’m hoping that Melee wins, not because it’s necessarily a better game than the others (though it’s certainly just as good), but so that we can finally start getting over the whole ‘SRK hates Smash Bros’ / ‘SmashBoards hates SRK’ thing, which IMO is overstated anyway.

Fairly sure that the only kind of people that actually take the time to comment on blogs and news sites/youtube are the dregs of society. So nothing of value was lost. Kinda like if you were to suffer from alzheimer’s there buddy.

I could see them giving the runner up the tournament spot and giving the MLP dev team stage/ stream time to promote and explain the game, maybe a few exhibition matches.

I fully plan on signing up for KoF and FiM at this year’s EVO. And as I recall, the game was fairly well recieved at EVO last year, even on that busted build.
One of the testers said even Yipes was getting hype for FiM.

I saved 1800 to go to EVO from working last year. Don’t make me not go because bronies invade that shit, i am a nice guy but i have a llimit and i will be an asshole to some of them if their tendencies are like they are in the numerous videos. i wanna have fun man.
