take this to heart. japan trip is cool and all, but if you’re going for evo japan, you might want to hold off for a minute before making plans.
Thanks for the words of caution. I just hope we get those details soon as two months is already short notice for me to make it.
Right now, it’s September 12-13 in Kawasaki right? That’s all that’s been announced?
good luck to the USA’ers that make it out there. EVO makes it a great way to plan a vacation. i couldnt have spent a better 3 nights @ Vegas.
I don’t plan on making it to EVO Japan, but having been to Japan a few years back, anybody who’s making such a sizable effort of going should take a couple extra days just to explore while you are there. Such an interesting experience.

120% support. show them the power of US’s top sim! (according to them). I was on the edge of my seat when you were fighting daigo @ the suite, you should have got him the last round, too bad.
If jwong/marn and folks are going, they’ll see that our best players can fight on their turf as well.
I will be there.
Won’t make it to Evo Japan 2010, but tempted to try and make it if there is a 2011. Can’t scrape together that kind of cash in 3 months.
anyone know how the response by the japanese community is so far? I really hope this evo will be big since I’ll probably never make it to las vegas.
edit:
great. all the us players (who had an evo 1 week ago!!!) are complaining that evo japan is too soon so it will get pushed back and I wont be able to go. this is bullshit.
It’s not so much the date that is a problem for me, as it’s the lack of detailed info (games, times, location, etc.).
Hopefully we’ll find out all the information soon.
I’ll be in Japan @ that time actually for my vacation (meeting up with friends and TGS), so it’s pretty convenient, so I may be able to go. =)
