the main problem i have with the bar/club scene in CT is that no matter where you go, there are 1000000000 fucking people packed in like sardines.
ive been to the stamford area before, once you named those bars I actually remembered being to a few like the thirsty turtle and hula hanks. i also remember barely being able to hold onto my drink or hear myself talk due to the ridiculous crowding. its SO hard to just find a place to drink and chill in CT, it’s ridiculous. i dont understand the whole club scene and how you can possibly enjoy being shoulder to shoulder with 400 other people you never met, can’t see because it’s so dark, and can’t hear because of blasting music. FUN!
i like a place like the bar to Red Rock where everyone just chilled and drank and had fun, and there weren’t 1000 other people. we basically took that bar over and it was fun as hell. if theres a place like that in stamford, im definitely down.

Im aware of myself not being a ‘top-player’ but i found it funny that krasshole assumed that ppl who play ‘fake’ (non-mainstream?) fighters must suck at ‘real’ ones. :bluu:
im actually thinking of getting back into tournament fighters…so many people into it right now…damn.
if you guys want you can set up a station at web2zone on one of the high def tvs. since we’ll have enough crts this time i see no prob with that. although im sure ill be so busy i wont be able to watch a damn match.
Yeah most of the places i mentioned are packed shoulder to shoulder on fri/sat which is usually why i don’t like going to those places (especially the two you went to ie. thirsty turtle/hulahanks). I personally hang out in a bar like 2 exits down the road from there in Darien, its a small dive that never has more then 20 people in it with 10 being just my friends and a pool table. Bradfords isn’t usually too too packed and is in the downtown area. If you want to take a cab or have a car, some good dive bars you might want to check out is Casey’s Tavern and Jimmy’s Seaside in stamford, or Benny’s in Darien (like 2 exits down on the 95).
