wow Watson is playing Andre in the losers bracket. I’m so conflicted on that one. I’m a Watson fan, but I like Andre’s Bison a lot. Oh well, I guess I have to go with the guy who is over 30.
Hey, wasn’t Nuki here?
Does anyone know when he got knocked out?
Nuki didn’t show up. Japanese participation this year is pretty dull. Not a lot showed up for whatever reason. I think there are only 3 Japs, Daigo, Dan, and Kuni.

No Ken I or Nestor… they got knocked out? By who?
I read in another thread that Ken I actually didn’t show, not sure if that is true or not. But I don’t think he attended Evo this year. As far as Nestor is concerned, I don’t have a clue what happened to him. He may not have been able to make it either, but I haven’t heard anything about him.
and Issei…
I thought there was confirmation for Nuki as well but I guess not.
Nestor lost a match right before qualifying.
Oh that sucks, too bad. I guess an 1,000 man bracket is brutal.
Well Issei lives in the US now, but I guess he’s originally from Japan. Not sure if he still counts though.
Lol…I’ve been away due to busy work from Evo, and come back and read that there is a 1000 entry bracket for Street Fighter IV? Wow! That’s absolutely ridiculous, and seriously, that’s hard as hell now to try and disagree that SF:IV isn’t getting alot of love and competitive play.
I am in complete awe and shock from that number of entries, and would really like to congratulate the SF community and the Evo representatives on making this the most crazy and awesome Evo yet to date. Simply incredible!
Anyhow, I’m hoping Choi Boi and Valle makes it far, if not would be sweet to see both meet in the Finals and we have another B3 Ver. 2 go down again,
OG’s Ftw!
Hmm… he told me he was just there to finish school.
I dunno, I could be wrong. Haven’t talked to him since before he left Japan.

looks like daigo will have a big test in Long island joe’s sagat… but i assume he got lots of practice against mago before he came
Thanks for the bracket updates!
Also daigo’s mate ‘Dan’ is still in the semi’s
I wouldn’t call it a big test. Dude plays Mago on a regular basis.
3S Cooperation Cup is in Japan so Ohnuki remained in Japan for it according to another thread somewhere in the EVO subforum.

Yeah, Nuki is there. Seen him take part in the mini Tekken BR tournament series (Namco has 3 a day, don’t need a badge either).
To me, it dosen’t seem like theres a 1000 people there. But there is alot. The BlazBlue tournament had a 140+ man bracket which seemed like it had 1000+ people in it ;). Took that long.
imo flash losing to jr rodriguez was an upset in my book. JR random him out with those jumpin raging demons and that mashed raging demon in the first round.

Lots of interesting first round matches for sf iv according to the bracket.
Arturo vs Mike Ross (EC vs WC)
Tatsu vs Valle Socal Battle
Shadyk vs somuchdamage (rematch from paradise hills)
Justin Wong vs Chris Hu (EC vs EC) CTF Match
Jason Cole (US) vs Dan (JPN)
Cole gets his chance to beat down Japan and prove Ryu isn’t good (according to him)
