He’s the guy I constantly mentioned that showed up to get his judge’s jersey and didn’t show up to judge his pools. I hope I’m wrong about him in some way, because I consider that way worse than the judges that didn’t show up at all.
Does anyone know who ran Marvel pool K14? I believe he recorded some matches (at least Loser’s Finals) of that pool and want to know if they will be uploaded somewhere. Thanks.
Go for it. Running brackets isn’t very hard, and you can always practice with smaller tournaments at your local scene. Planning ahead so you can always have a match “on deck” and ready to play is the key to keeping your bracket moving and running on time.
Just be willing to give up half (or more) of your day and come ready to spend it standing up. Pay off is worth it though - front row seats for finals and the t-shirt, not to mention getting to meet people, watch matches, and all the other stuff that comes with hanging around pools.
Am I the only one who actually liked the food
Maybe I find free food to taste much better
Anyway, good seeing you all. I hope to work with yall again next year.
Good shit to Scamp and Anthony too. They’re so easy to work with.
Were you in that pool? Because I was.
That was the dude with the cowboy hat on, but I have no idea what his name is.
Yes, it was the guy with the cowboy hat on. I made it out in losers in that pool.
i enjoyed the turkey sandwhich, didnt try anything else though.
That was me/Preppy.
That camera was at the least misplaced. It was in the Evo control center, so it is at least likely that it was accidentally grabbed during cleanup and put in storage. I haven’t given up hope yet since people just started getting fully unpacked: I’ll be hitting up various Evo officials to see if they found it in their trucks.
If somebody did jack my camera, I would appreciate it if the MvC3 footage from it made its way back to me. I’ve got copies of all the MvC2 footage, but the MvC3 footage would otherwise be completely lost, which would be a shame for people like iTorres.
That was you Preppy? Why didn’t you say so man?!! I was like “I hope I get to meet that Preppy guy” hahaha.
It’s kind of a random thing to bring up. I’m just me after all. I think I did say my usual “hi, I’m zach aka Preppy”, but w/e. We’ll see each other at the next Evo anyways.
From what I know now, if the camera was packed up with the Evo stuff, it’s probably locked up until at least January when that stuff next gets cracked open. Sorry. :\
this is why i always volunteer to judge the 8 am pool on Friday… so i have time to do other stuff.
Shrek you always been the man when I needed something. Kudos to you, sir! Thanks for letting me train up my wife to judge with me. She had fun and appreciated the crash course you gave her on Thurs
I physically showed everyone where they needed to be and what time. Conveniently the pools I had to show everyone was either at the same table or the table adjacent later in the day.
