truth is daigo doesnt play this game anymore and the last time he did he looked AWFUL. remember the daigo vs valle match, goddamn that was ugly.
if the evo staff wants to have a big showcase and put daigo vs justin, well that is just laughable to me. but whatever, a lot of the stuff evo does is laughable.
if they actually want this to be an event with the best players, well i hope they contact someone legit in the 3rd strike circle soon, seeing as evo is a month away.
I just had the chance to see that Evo trailer earlier. Iām really surprised seeing something 3rd Strike related at this yearās Evo.

Which great american players are still actively playing 3s and will be attending? If Evo goes by evo results then they are not going to get the best representation for this thing me thinks. I really want to spectate american players more than the japanese for this. we have great players on these here shores lol

Well I think it would be pretty stupid to not ask people who have been playing, or at least glance at something like ranbat rankings and ask people over there.
It would be cool if it was just US players and more about the spirit of the whole thing. It would be equally cool to invite some guys from Japan over as a sort of showcase situation. It should be a bunch of people psyched to play the game. If it is itāll be a good time. Dragging Daigo and Justin into it just because thereās money on the line and they had a moment way back when is just silly and has nothing to do with the current 3S scene.
As long as someone in the 3S world is involved in organizing it I donāt see how it could go wrong.
Considering people in this section of the forum are more well informed on the GGPO and arcade scene of 3s thatās still alive (Well not so much GGPO anymore) why not compile a list of candidates for it and post it in the EVO thread? Or has ryan done that already?

Iām assuming its Gootecks, Ricky, Justin, and whoever else is already at evo and is passable in 3s.
It would be awesome if I got to play at EVO. Itād be like I was a celebriy and a GRANDMSATER. Instead I have to settle for SBO.
